Thread: Anyone heard of "Fairway divorce"? does it really save money and time?

    Do not, do not do not use Fairways! They are not lawyers and are not regulated by anyone. If they steer you the wrong way, you have no recourse against them like you do with a lawyer. If it is at all complicated, they can't and shouldn't handle it, and if it is simple, they are MORE expensive than a lawyer!
    Lots of horror stories out there. Watch out.

    I left my husband 22 years ago. It was hard and he was mean. I learned to stand on my own feet. I did not pay for or file for divorce. I waited until he did. I did however spend the next 20 years in court, for support for my kids. They knew me by name. I was not overly successful but my ex called me at one point to ask advice for his new wife. Too funny. You can do this on your own. Family Law clinic is probably in your court house. It's overwhelming but if you're unsure on the forms pm me and will do my best to help.
