Gorgeous birds those cardinals. We get Stellar's Jays all year, not qutie so spectacular but pretty all the same. (Blue)

Interesting you mention pigeons!
In Toronto there's gazillions of pigeons(usually around the French Fry Trucks by City Hall!) but out here in the Shwa you rarely see one!
A woman I use to work with eons ago told me how suprised she was to see so many pigeons, because where she came from they ate them!

The Grackles are back!,thought we got rid of em'
Haven't seen them at the feeder though!
