You'd think. But apparently integrity is not important to the campaign:

Donald Trump's presidential campaign has no plans to fire anybody on the campaign or to take any disciplinary action against anyone for the Melania Trump speech plagiarism controversy, CNN learned Tuesday.


As campaign chairman Paul Manafort indicated at his morning news conference, the campaign's posture is to simply move on from this without addressing it any further.

Mrs Trump claims she wrote the speech with some help. I suspect she asked the writer for some platitudes about growing up poor and having her parents support her and her siblings like parents should....blah, blah, blah. And the staffer did just that but it come out intentionally or not as being very similar to what Mrs Obama spoke about in 2008.

That's a firing offence.

Identical, not "very similar". Someone obviously referenced Obama's speech and figured it was 8 years ago so no one would notice it was lifted.

This article has the parts of the speeches as given - it does sound different when I was hearing it on the radio and there were just the phrases used.

Also, had no idea Obama had stolen lines from others as well, same with Biden
