The American people aren't the only ones mourning the loss of former President George H.W. Bush.
Sunday night, the Bush family's spokesman, Jim McGrath, tweeted a photo of Bush's service dog, Sully, lying in front of the 41st president's casket with the caption "Mission complete."

Hey @Trevornoah - thanks for everything you’re doing to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s legacy at the @GlblCtzn festival. Sorry I can’t be with you - but how about Canada pledges $50M to @EduCannotWait to support education for women & girls around the world? Work for you? Let’s do it.

Celebrities gathered in Johannesburg, South Africa on Sunday for the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100, a charity concert honouring Nelson Mandela a century after he was born. Trudeau tweeted to Noah, who is hosting the festival that Canada would give the money to Education Cannot Wait, an organization that funds education for children affected by conflicts, natural disasters and other crises.

- So casual, Justin - how's it work for you to try so hard to impress a celebrity?
Work for the Canadian taxpayer? Not against the cause, but oy, what an inappropriate way to be dealing with it, and to a US celebrity to boot.
Just keep adding to that deficit...
Oh, but there was no money for our veterans...

Oh, but there was no money for our veterans...
Ah, but some shortchanged payments won't flow until 2020. Sigh.

Trump's troubled charity foundation to shut down
US President Donald Trump's troubled charity foundation has agreed to close down amid allegations that he and others illegally misused its funds.
The move was announced by the Attorney General of New York State, Barbara Underwood, who will supervise the distribution of its remaining monies.
She has accused Mr Trump and his three eldest children of using it for private and political gain.
The foundation's lawyer accused her of attempting to politicise the matter.
This is just one of several legal cases currently swirling around Mr Trump and his family. Others include a wide-ranging special counsel investigation into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russia headed by former FBI chief Robert Mueller.
What do prosecutors say?
Ms Underwood said the case against Mr Trump and his children Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric would continue.
In a statement, she said there had been "a shocking pattern of illegality involving the Trump Foundation - including unlawful co-ordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and wilful self-dealing, and much more".
She continued: "This amounted to the Trump Foundation functioning as little more than a chequebook to serve Mr Trump's business and political interests."
Under the terms of the deal to shut down the foundation, Ms Underwood said, it could only be dissolved under judicial supervision and could only distribute its assets "to reputable organisations approved by my office".
She added: "This is an important victory for the rule of law, making clear that there is one set of rules for everyone.
"We'll continue to move our suit forward to ensure that the Trump Foundation and its directors are held to account for their clear and repeated violations of state and federal law."
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ukraine: new Orthodox church gains independence from Moscow
The newly elected head of the Ukrainian Orthodox church travelled to Istanbul to receive the “tomos”, or decree of autocephaly (independence), from the Patriarch of Constantinople, Bartholomew I, in an elaborate ceremony in St George’s Cathedral on the eve of the Orthodox Christmas.
“The pious Ukrainian people have awaited this blessed day for seven entire centuries,” Bartholomew said in his address on Saturday.
The Ukrainian church has been under the jurisdiction of the Moscow patriarchate since 1686, and its independence is a heavy blow to Moscow. The Russian church, which currently has about 150 million Orthodox Christians under its authority, could lose a fifth of its members.
In a move expected to split the 300 million-strong global Orthodox church, the Russians have said they will break off relations with Constantinople as a result of Bartholomew’s decision to grant independence to the Ukrainian church. Orthodox churches in other countries are aligning with Moscow or Constantinople in the rift.
The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, wants the Ukrainian church to stay within Moscow’s orbit, and has warned of “a heavy dispute, if not bloodshed” over attempts to reassign ownership of church property.
The leader of the Russian Orthodox church, Patriarch Kirill, is a close ally of Putin, whom he has described as “a miracle of God”. Kirill has also objected to Bartholomew’s close relationship with the Roman Catholic church and Pope Francis, and has long seen Moscow as a rival power centre to Constantinople.

Travellersl to Cuba require a scannable passport. A Canadian stranded in Cuba noticed a travel agent ripped a page out of his passport (he took it out of the trash can) and claimed another company representative would assist him in Cuba with a letter. So far, he's stuck in Cuba.

Ontario students will have to continue to pay for transit passes (guess that means the opt-out method if one drives is not going to continue anymore-usually a first month of a semester option a student has to apply for in order to not pay for a pass) as part of mandatory ancillary fees:

As for relocating for a job, much depends if one has financial resources to pay for a move, given that many employers don't offer relocation money. That might mean some jobs are out of reach financially.
