The hockey world loses another great one ......
Montreal Canadiens legend Jean Beliveau dies at 83
After playing 20 seasons with the Habs, and earning the first Conn Smythe Trophy, Beliveau retired in 1971 as the team's all-time points leader and the league's all-time scoring leader. That fall, his No. 4 was retired, and the following year he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
After his playing days ended, Beliveau remained with the team as an executive, having his name etched on Lord Stanley's Cup another seven times.
When he retired, he established the Jean Beliveau Foundation, which was transferred to the Society for Disabled Children in 1993. In 1998 he became a Companion of the Order of Canada and in 2001 his name was added to Canada's Walk of Fame. He was named the honorary captain of 2010 Canadian men's Olympic Hockey Team.

a sad day for sure RHL. Sadly, Gordie Howe may be the next great one we are mourning.
I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

By Associated Press December 8 at 6:52 PM
NEW YORK — Ken Weatherwax, who played the child character Pugsley on “The Addams Family” television series in the 1960s, has died. He was 59.
Weatherwax died of a heart attack at his Box Canyon, California, home over the weekend, said Joey D. Vieira, his half brother. Weatherwax’s body was found on Sunday.
Pugsley, the son of Gomez and Morticia, was a member of the family of macabre oddballs in the television series, which aired on ABC from 1964 to 1966 with its familiar, finger-snapping theme song.
He stayed in show business after he grew up, although on the other side of the camera. Weatherwax worked as a grip on the sets of several Hollywood productions, said Vieira, a former actor himself who played the character Porky in the original “Lassie” series.
Weatherwax retired a few years ago for medical reasons, Vieira said.
