That is such a cool program, you're lucky.
Last year I shared seeds with friends via mail. This year, I'm specifically looking for a few types of seeds so I will most likely order from Mackenzie seeds or harvest from organic produce I purchase at the store.

I bought seed packets in April from Dollarama....meh? With my absolute lack of gardening skills, whatever I spend on seeds is a gamble.
I can kill almost anything! lol
Today I was hopeful. Filling the wee trays and setting them in the front window which can really get the hottest most intense sun of the day. I will be on high alert for watering these I suppose. Dill, Basil, Green Onions and Chives!!

The Incredible Seed Co. is holding a fundraiser this weekend. 100% of flower seed sales will be donated to help wildfire relief efforts in Nova Scotia. Please share far and wide.

So yesterday there was a funeral. For my 4 trays of herbs that I tried REALLY REALLY hard to grow from seed in my front window. I was so darn attentive each day checking to make sure none dried out while enuring I was not drenching the soil either. Made no F-ING difference! Seems anything I try to grow dies.
Meanwhile I've watched over the years as Mr. Magic Green Thumbs here ( aka DH ) takes plants that look like they are on their last legs and brings them back to life!
We all have talents, I have to accept gardening is not one of mine.

I discovered a new group on FB this morning for Canadians to trade, buy, and sell seeds.

Aerogarden enthusiasts, check the Canadian Tire website for stock and clearance sets.

    https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/searc...l?q=Aerogarden
I am on the website to look for a different seed starter kit to perk up someone's winter indoors due to mobility issues. Then I remembered at least three SCers are familiar with Aerogarden kits.

Spring Fever is starting to kick in!

If you are eager to shop for seeds - or to buy gift cards for your gardening friends - the Canadian Seed Companies Map is a fantastic resource for locating seed businesses in your town or province. There are so many great seed businesses and nurseries in Canada.

Canadian Tire only has two brands on its seed racks this year. Usually there are three brands of seeds. Missed the sale on Jiffy Pots (weather and my aches and pains did not help) in last flyer. Yet to visit Rona for seeds.
Fortinos has McKenzies, Burpee and one other on its spin racks at the Ancaster location.
Has anyone checked out the OSC selection at Home Hardware yet?

Incredible Seed Co in Nova Scotia had sold out of its Cipollini onion sets when I looked last month.

Thanks for mentioning the various seeds that are sold at some of the hardware stores. I haven't purchased any seeds yet this year but I'm looking for specific ones now...I like a few from Westcoast seeds (I'm actually going out to BC so I'll look when I'm out there) they provide less seeds but they are definitely higher quality.
