My best SDM brag, of a different kind, on Saturday.

I am under the weather recovering from pneumonia, and was dragging my heels late yesterday in the SDM, after walking up and down for hours in the Pharmasave and scoring such great deals.

While trying to decide what to buy because I was so not organised for SDM 20X point event, my boyfriend comes racing down aisle, calling out to me.....

"" I found another Smart Canuck couponer at the cash desk, come quickly, to meet her.""

It looked like he had just won a million dollar jackpot, that wide eyed but grinning look............lol!!!

He drags me to the cash desk and there was ..............

Secheltsaver..............whoot!!

It was great meeting my first new friend in this area, where we have been living temporarily for 2 months house sitting. After reading that there are a few members here on the Sunshine Coast, to finally find a friendly face to put to the name Secheltsaver, only seen on paper before, was awesome.

We chatted for a while and then exchanged numbers.

For me that was actually worth more than all the savings I have made while living here. Now when we return to live on the Sunshine Coast I have a new friend to reconnect with.........WHOOT!!!

Rick was as excited as well. When contemplating a move to a new area, it is comforting to have a new friend already there.

Now my next task is to try to meet the gal from Gibson, with whom I have emailed back and forth for a while.

Rick was waiting in line to buy his Tim Hortons gift card to pay for his coffee addiction....... using a SDM gift card purchased so that we can get more points to help pay for his coffee addiction........lol!!!

Anyhow, when he noticed the lady in front of him with her coupons, and heard her turn around to the person behind her advising them that she had coupons and it will be a bit longer.........
( something that we also do) ... he twigged that she might be one of the gals I have been telling him about that are from SC.
In fact he then asked her if she was from Smart Canucks......way to go....I have trained him well........lol!!

Poor guy has to listen to me read off great bargain brags to him all day, and then on top of that, he gets to schlep the cart, or basket around. He hates carrying a basket, and that was all they had at Pharmasave. So he would pick it up and move it around the store and leave it near where I was standing to fill up, and I sure did......whoo!!

By the time we left SDM, about 4 hours later after our shopping trip into town, he was " ok now I really am getting antsy, I want to go" but was still so excited at his own great shopping discovery and BRAG.......

Nice going....yeah, when I see people looking at the coupons in their hands or have a binder...I sometimes chat with them etc. Funny, didn't notice as many couponers before I got onto SC half a year ago...now it's such a common site, especially at London Drugs!

My first plan when I return to Calgary is to make a coupon binder. My second task will be to find a dress to wear to my daughters wedding... must have my priorities straight, hmm!

That is quite correct, I will make a point to thank him just now for the fact that he will do this with me. He loves the bargains and free stuff. Now when we go out, I go shopping, and he first does a look around for coupons

Rick is a man that does enjoy shopping, so I did luck out. I put stuff in the cart, he carries it into the house. We both unpack together.

After our chat with Secheltsaver I realised that my SDM gift cards were in my wallet, in the car. You should have seen his face when I asked him to please get my purse from the car............

He wont be caught dead carying that thing. The thought of anyone seeing him carring a ladies purse gives him the shivers....... so I put him out of his misery and said to put my wallet into a bag to use later for our shopping....

wow, he is keeper for sure. I too have man who loves to shop & torture him with all my SC stories.
