I am new here and a little bit slow. Could you please describe the way $19.09 comes out of 9,545 SDM points said in your FAQ, instead of just about $13.64 I figure?
One more question, I was wondering if the SDM points I get through this event or other means could be used to purchase the SDM gift card. So I can do my shopping later.
Thanks a lot!

Thanks for asking .
That figure, as explained, is based upon the idea that you save up until the highest reward level to redeem.
75,000 points = $150
therefore 1,000 points = $2
and 9,545 points are worth $19.09
On a bonus redemption day, where 75,000 points are worth $200, that amount of points would be worth $25.21 at the highest redemption level. Participate in a few of these events, and you'll find you're there faster than you expect!

Cyanne, thanks a lot for your kind explanation but it is a long journey to cumulate 75,000 or even 35,000 points, only under such circumstances such extra rewards redemption offer could be taken advantage of..
As for my second question, if the SDM points I get through this event or other means are allowed to buy the SDM gift card LATER (not this time). Your answer is “Yes, you can PAY using GCs, because they are equivalent to cash. You just can't BUY GCs and expect that to count as a purchase.”.
However, I checked out “Shoppers Optimum Program® Terms and Conditions” at http://www.shoppersdrugmart.ca/engli...gal/index.html and found the following:
28. Shoppers Optimum Points may not be redeemed towards the purchase of the following products/services: prescription drugs, products containing codeine, electronic gift cards, Post Office, cigarettes and tobacco (where sold), lottery tickets, bus tickets and passes, delivery charges (where applicable), bill payments (where accepted), bottle deposits/returns, charitable donations, gift with purchases and any other items specified as exclusions from time to time. Shoppers Drug Mart reserves the right to add or delete products and services eligible for Shoppers Optimum Points redemption at any time.
I will appreciate it if you could clarify this question.
Thanks a lot again!

Oh hey everyone, I'd like to add that on either of the event days
you are NOT allowed to redeem points towards your $20 purchase.
And, you have to spend $20 before taxes.
I made that mistake the last event a couple of months ago, and called
SDM Customer Service, and they said it was in the rules.
...also, if you use coupons while making purchases,
your end total at the checkout must be $20 before taxes.
