I think this is a valid reason to complain. For one, you didn't get what you paid for. Two you could have been injured while drinking it. Additionally, I feel people complain about far less situations(ie/writing to a company about expired coupons on a box of cereal)when you knew when you bought it they were expired and demand replacement for them! Really? IMO just cut your loses and don't cry about the few $ you may have spent on the cereal. Afterall the cereal is still good. Having plastic in your cup is not good at all! Especially if it had been a child drinking it!

I got a call back from them explaining how sorry they are that this happened. They asked if I was ok and told me the manager was going to get a hold of me in the next few days to make things right.

you did the right thing by contacting the company. it sounds like this has happened before and you might prevent it from happening from someone else if they inform their staff. as gross as a bug or such is...swallowing a piece of plastic that could become lodged in your throat is way worse.

So true. This summer has been hot and I have seen many 6-9 year olds with ice caps. They would have been in trouble with the plastic.

That's terrible, I would have returned the darn thing to the location if nearby and got a new one as I would have just dumped the drink. I hope they send you a voucher or something for your troubles....nothing worse that ruining a treat!

A friend of mine and my aunt got curdled cream in theirs, different times and locations. They sent me pictures and there was no way the employee would have been unaware of how bad the cream was-it was chunky! Needless to say, the few times I go there in a year I am cautious of everything I buy now.

Now I have an extra reason to anyone who gives me the WTF look when I ask for an ice cap with no cream. I just get it straight up lol. No cream, no milk no nothing!

My sister does that too because she is vegan and they look at her like she has 3 heads when she orders!!! I remember they were like....sooo...you want an iced cap....without cream...and without milk??? But that's just the stuff from the machine then....*puzzled expression*....*finally goes and makes it*

I find it not coffee enough when they put milk or cream in it. Its funny because I actually don't like hot coffee ... or cold coffee either but I like ice caps. But I'll tell ya you can sure taste the sugar they put in that syrup!

Wow..will be careful when I will order one next time.....Another story depends on the custumer service...a friend and I went to car order...and order 2 ice cappucino...but when he start the cars the beverages was not locked perfectly in the car hole for beverage...he explain the situation and the mess...and they offered to make us 2 others one...because that was disgusting to clean for us...
