that is odd..for sure...he should have taken it to the back and cut off a piece with a knife and fork...doing it in plain view of other patrons and yourself and the manner is just.....odd....

As someone who used to work at Mc Donalds I can asure you that hardly anything is made "fresh". Everything is made ahead of time and put in trays and then stuck under warmers until it gets used. Your burger patty could have been sitting there for anywhere from 30 minutes to 30 seconds. Although most of the time its 10 minute range. Same thing with chicken patties, nuggets, fish, etc. All are cooked well in advance and then held in trays under warmers. Buns are often pre-toasted several minutes ahead so people can keep up. If its not busy when you go chances are you will either get a brand new toasted bun or you will have a pre-toasted one that was sitting there for quite a while. Even the toppings aren't "fresh". Maybe fresh as in the tomato was cut that morning. Or the cheese was pulled out of the fridge several hours ago.
Even special ordering your sandwich will not ensure it is "fresh".
My only suggestions would be go when its busy or ask for them to make everything new but be warned you could be waiting anywhere for a few extra minutes to 15 minutes longer.Insert Clever Signature Here

LOL ew.
The last time I ate at Wendys (Years ago) Drove 15 mins to the store, 15 mins back home to eat, got food for myself and my partner at the time and BOTH of our burgers were red.
Called the store, they said to come back and they would refund us the money, plus I think they gave us something else for compensation of driving back and forth.
