My husband the coupon thief..the funniest story ever..lol

Even as I write this brag I am writing this brag I am laughing thinking about it....This past Saturday dh and I went to Sobeys to get some of the free Poise pantyliners....We get there and I find the Poise and put some in my cart and I tell my dh give me a minute to peel the $3.00 coupons off so they are open and ready when the cashier rings them in...Well dh tells me he is going to browse the store because he is bored..lol..So off he goes and a few mintues later I am heading to the front of the store to go to a cashier and dh comes walking up to me and he does not look happy...I ask him what is wrong and he says you and your damn coupons...I look surprised at him and say "what is wrong with you?"

He says to me " I just got into trouble for taking some coupons off packages of bread and the lady said to him that is stealing"

Well I asked him why he would do that and he said to me he thought they were for anyone to take and he had wanted to help me by finding me some coupons...he said that he thought he was allowed to do that since I was taking the Poise ones off the package...I told him that was ok since I was getting them...I also told him you are not allowed to peel of coupons of things you were not buying...

I started to laugh my head off so hard I had tears in my eyes...The funniest thing about this story is that dh currently has a cast on one arm due to an accident at work and the bread was located right in front off customer service....So you have this one armed man struggling to get his wife some coupons right in front of customer service....he was so embarassed his cheeks were red....He says to me he will never try to look for coupons for me again....As we were leaving and passed customer service I apoligized to the the lady and told her he did not know he was not allowed....She was smiling and said she guessed that he did not know...that must have looked funny to her too...

After we got home and dh got somewhat over his embarassment he laughed about it....I told him they are going to put a mug shot of him in front of every bread stand that has $1.00 off Grillems coupons....

also the lady even let him keep the two he had managed to get off the bread

As for the two coupons the lady let him keep I will not be using them. I will be laminating them...This will be something I will never forget and neither will dh.....

This is too funny, l could see my dh trying to do that also. l guess they are really thinking they are trying to help us. God bless them. Tell him to just look for tearpads that is what l do with my husband and he is pretty good with it right now

thanks for your comments....like I said I am still laughing about it.....I had also told my dh that out there somewhere was someone elses dh who would have probably done the same thing...lol...After this, i do not even think he will look for any tear pads...lmao

OMG...LMAO.....thats the funniest thing I have heard in a while.....I cant even believe you where able to drive home....this brought tears to my eyes...how funny it would be to see a picture of a casted man stealing bread coupons......poor guy...imagine how difficult it was for him to peel the coupons off....thats love.....lol
