I did a walmart commercial this week!!!!!

I completed an online survey about 2 weeks ago. It was a 2part survey, the first part was to answer questions online, the second part was to take a picture of myself in front of a Walmart, then take a picture of myself inside and then to take a picture of a good deal. So I did this, the next thing I know, Im getting an email to ask if a Walmart Ad agency can call me to ask me a few more questions, so I did.

****Wow, to my surprise, I was asked to do a Sobeys/Walmart grocery shopping trip on August 28th,2012 in Brampton. I had to shop for 50 items in Sobeys, any items any cost, I get to keep the items and Walmart paid the bill. It was myself and 2 other women who were also chosen from the online survey. Once we were done we took the groceries back to Walmart to compare the prices. We then got $500 Walmart gift cards just for doing the shopping trip. Then they announced that they wanted me to do a commercial shoot for Walmart that same day!!! So now on top of receiving the $500 walmart gift card, I accepted to do the commercial and received payment as an actress...I just had to be myself, they wanted a real shopper that shops at Walmart to do the commercial. So I did, it was a great...

The website where I did the online surveys is called www.askingcanadians.com Every time you do a survey, you receive points and the points count toward a walmart gift card, who knew this would happen!!!!

I just wanted to say, that week, I was feeling so down and depressed and coudnt sleep, I was getting harrassing phone calls from a neighbor's son and had just filed a police report about the incident. Well the harrassing phone calls have stopped, I certainly believe that good things happen for a reason.

Is it crazy that I think I saw this commercial last night? That can't be right, it would be too soon!

I was flipping channels and caught a part where you and this "host" were in an aisle (frozen?) and said this item costs ~$5.89 at Sobey's but at WM it's only $4.99. Then the host exciting shouts out: That's a 10% savings!!!!

Am I imagining or confusing another commercial? Quite likely since I haven't had my Saturday morning coffee yet.

Anyways, what a wonderful and fun opportunity! Wow, $500 in GCs plus you got to keep the $50 worth of groceries. WTG!

congrats OP. so let me get this straight....you got to keep about $280 worth of groceries from Sobeys, got a $500 WM gift card, and got to be in a commercial all because you took that extra time to do the online survey? wow, talk about hitting the jackpot. oh, and also you were paid for the commercial!

Yes I kept the groceries, got a $500 walmart giftcard and got paid for the commercial.....all from taking the time to complete an online survey......what a great week!!!!!!
