Welcome to the new Flyers Rewards program on SmartCanucks

Post a flyer early, before it's posted on a retailer's official website and earn 1 Flyerpoint. Every 10 Flyerpoints can be redeemed for a $5 Gift Card for either Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart or any well known national retailer that has stores all across the country.

This program is managed by our flyers expert, couponlady.

This is how it works:

1. Get a copy of the flyer and make sure it's legal to distribute. No stealing of a copy of the flyer at night from the headquarters of a company
2. Scan or take a picture of the flyer.
3. Post the flyer on the Smartcanucks Forum.
4. Send a private message to couponlady right away with a link to the flyer you posted. It is up to couponlady to verify that you are first person to post flyer and that it is complete or at least of good value to the community. Once she does so she will award you the flyerpoint.
5. She will keep a track of your Flyerpoints and update you with your total points.
6. Once you accumulate 10 or multiples of 10 (if you want a bigger gift card at once) please send her a private message with your address and preferred gift card store. She'll have our rewards person send it out within 48 hours.

This program applies to all flyers posted September 1st, 2012 onwards. It applies to major retailers only that have 5 or more stores. Boo Radley and Couponlady have the right to decide if you should get the flyerpoint or not. Any attempt to cheat the system will result in loss of all your flyerpoints and disqualification.

Edited by couponlady to add: For stores like Best Buy, Canadian Tire, Rexall, etc flyers are same (99%) throughout Canada, so one version from any province of Canada is good. But for some grocery stores where prices vary across Canada, different versions are always welcome. You can find in the list below which flyers/versions are eligible for flyer points.

I miss all the early flyers

Nice, I don't get my flyers early usually, but if I do I know where to come.

My one concern with this (I don't post flyers, so I really don't care about the rewards) is that there are members who make a post about the flyer, provide a bit of text information, but have no pictures to post & promise to do as such later on.

If the system is based on post time, then people will use this method to 'cheat'. Perhaps adding some 'fineprint' that states it's the first post that contains proper pictures that must be verified.... then again, no-one can expect couponlady to be here 24/7 to verify the post when it's possible to edit it afterwards.

Me too! This may motivate me to actually learn how to post a flyer lol! Mine usually don't come til Thursdays anyhow but a little stress off the old shopping list planning seeing it early!

But doesn't it show the time you edit a post?
so if they do text only, then add the picture later on they will go by the Edit time?

They do show when it was edited and people usually will post that they wish there was photos etc in replies

Fabulous program! I was missing the early flyer posts. I usually get no flyers at all so rely on them

I keep checking every Tuesday like the good ole day's, but other than the Walmart QC, usually the only ones this early now are all QC flyer's not applicable for me.

Love the incentive, but I do agree it should be the full flyer with photo's, and hopefully a legible one at that.

Great idea! Too bad I get all my flyers late Thursday I used to get the GT one on Tuesdays but now it comes with my Thursday bundle of flyers...love the incentive though, will be nice to see them earlier again!
