Hiya peeps
Not sure if this is the right place to post or not.
A couple of days ago I offered to help out a new couponer with some coupons (not here on SC, on a FB group). She had posted asking where to get coupons, how to get started, etc. I PM'd her and said I would send her an envie of coupons to help her get going... she did say thank you then. This was on Tuesday. I was away yesterday and was getting her envie ready to mail today (I also was waiting on a few trades to throw in some good coupons for her) and she just PM'd me asking when I was planning on sending out the coupons and not to put in any crappy coupons
I don't feel that her response was appropriate. I'm not doing this to make myself look good or gain anything from it... when I was new, I had tons of help from fellow couponers and I was trying to pay it forward. I would NEVER ask when a RAOK was going to be mailed, or specify the coupons I expected. I was happy with anything and everything I got, whenever it got to me.
I'm just a little hurt and not sure how to proceed. I feel like I have to send the raok because i promised it to her but I don't like feeling pressured to mail it ASAP. All of the coupons have long expiries and I added lots from her wish list... I guess I just send it and bite my tongue? What would you do?

I have become a bit of a biatch towards helpng people who are greedy I would just respond that at this time you won't be able to send out what you thought you could. She is a complete stranger and is not a trade you really oew her no explanation but do be nice that is what I would do. I become lery about roaking strangers when I found out about ebay and people taking my roak coupons and putting them on tradelists.

I think that's a nice way of going about it Kim. I was really shocked when she said that stuff to me... like, really?

LOL yes it is sad, isn't it? And I've been using my paypal money from surveys to buy some coupons on ebay.

Wow. I would not send her a thing. I would respond to her PM saying, "Sorry, I'm not sure what you consider crappy coupons - so I guess I won't bother sending you any, then you won't get crap!

I'd just let her know that due to unforeseen circumstances you won't be sending out any coupons and wish her good luck. Someone so rude doesn't even deserve that, but you might like to close the loop on this conversation with her. Ridiculous. Sounds like quite a spoiled brat.

I would tell her I'm not sure what she considers crappy coupons so I won't be sending anything. Maybe it's better knowing though than you sending her stuff she will just throw in the garbage. I've seen some newbies with wishlists of couponing pros. Makes me think it's a new SC account, but they're not a new couponer.

Agree with other posters. She sounds rather demanding and not particularly grateful or respectful. Any newbie I have RAOKed has been very gracious. I would be a little miffed too if I were you
So many coupons....so little time!

I've decided not to send her anything. I'm sorry, but that attitude just doesn't fly with me. I will take the coupons I was going to send to her and RAOK them to someone else, someone who deserves them because she certainly doesn't! The whole thing just really shocked and hurt me.

You are making a good choice. That kind of attitude is pretty much the same as someone telling you they don't like the gift you just gave them - which happened to me at a work secret Santa exchange....whole other story there! - and it's pretty selfish on their part.
On the positive side, kudos to you for being willing to pay out of your own time, money and stash to help out a stranger! That's the kind of stuff that good people are made of, and I totally respect that!
. We need more like you in this world!
