Well, awesome news from my husband - he got a bonus, and a raise!
Pretty much weren't sure whether to expect either one this year, and he got both - so nice.
They had given a gift card to a local butcher shop for Christmas, so I thought that would be it.
My dear husband works SO very hard, and I'm just so very grateful that he does - and is recognized for it, all the time. They often let him know how valuable he is.

That's great Nat.
Congrats to your hubby. He should feel proud that all his hard work has been noticed, and rewarded.

hicks, plus he loves working there - he's always challenged doing trouble-shooting, which is what his personality needs!
Well, he's snoring on the couch (as soon as I get up from the computer and walk by him, he'll wake up - no matter how quiet I am...), kitties are sleeping - so I'm going to head to bed to read for a bit, then hopefully sleep. It's 10:30.

Good morning!
Had lots of trouble falling asleep last night - but finally got a few hours.
Well, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, woke up to an extreme windchill of -44. GAH!
Staying in today, doin' stuff around the house, that's about all to do!
Enjoy the day, everyone!

Good morning all. I slept a little better too.
I've been up for about an hour, and I'm already bored.
I hope every1 has a great day.

Good morning, everyone!!
A frigid -14 this morning, feels like -23; I feel sorry for everyone who has to venture out to run errands on weekends like this. I know our DD and her family will stay snuggled in for the day. As will we. I'll start sewing my new top and that's all the excitement around here. Hubby has a cold so I shall be avoiding him.
Natalka, I got as far as saving a 600x450 photo, but it won't paste anywhere in a post.
Hon, what the heck do I do now?! We must have a very uncooperative system on our computer.
Stay warm and safe, everyone!!! Have a lovely weekend!!

Lynn, click on the icon from the bar above the reply box - if you hover your mouse over it, it says Insert Image. Then it will allow you to browse from your computer files, choose the picture you want, then it will post.

I was pleasantly surprised to find cauliflower for $2.50 yesterday at Superstore.
I bought one, but lots of people were buying multiples.
Saw a fantastic recipe on the Food Network the other day.
Nigella Lawson's roasted cauliflower florettes, tossed in sauce, and
then served with chick peas as a warm salad. I've never roasted
cauliflower before.

Natalka, yes, I did that and a box opens up, and I click on "image from computer" or whatever, but it won't let me paste! I right click on the box but there's no "paste" in the drop-down that I get.
I might just give up....
Margy I saw something similar, roasting a whole head of cauliflower...I'm not sure what the point was, though...I've seen recipes for roasted floretes, but we've never tried any of them yet; I'm sure they're lovely....toss with oil, maybe a little light soy sauce, roast and toss with parmessan cheese..Cheese is good with anything! Let us know how it turns out!
I'm taking a break from sewing that slinky fabric...I'm so thankful no one is paying me to mass produce stuff made out of that fabric; it has a mind of its own!! Lunch break.
Lots of NFL play-off games this evening; my PACK will be playing and they'd better not mess up!!
