It seems to me that spring has not been officially sprung,
I do not like the way the weather pendulum has swung,
What the heck is up with this latest dumping of snow?
Winter has more than reached its merciless plateau,
Maybe this is due to reasons that are purely metaphysical,
& if weather was a song, it sure would not be lyrical,
All I ask is for an entry into springtime’s curve,
You must be kidding us winter; you’ve sure got your nerve,
Keep your shovels poised for continued snow removal,
I don’t think that anyone gave more snow a nod of approval,
Although the birds were chirping & the crocuses peeking thru,
To this hat & mittens wearing weather, it’s time to bid adieu,
The boys are summer are back & they’re moving in,
Get along winter & take your chagrin!

good afternoon all! Such a PITA to have to shovel the walk and driveway as well as tackle the vehicle cleaning, but I figured the pool would be near empty because of this snowfall and I was right! Only the diehards were there!! ha ha
The w/e literally disappeared on us, seems like one minute I was cooking up a few entrees for the week and then I blinked and it was Monday?? Mind you that was nice to watch the Jays opener yesterday.
@Lynn49 the baby quilt looks wonderful!! I knew it would. @22hicks so terrific that the Insurance Co ( and the neighbour ) came though with instant clean up and compensation. What a relief for your son. BTW....I know that Mandarin location well!! tee hee @Natalka I am with you on the J Chan movies....snore! So wonderful that Milan is doing good back at his classes...ha ha about his temporarily clean soft hands @avoncallingu it's so understandable you falling off the diet wagon, you've had more than enough reason(s) to but I am not even sure how you are supposed to focus on any of that with all that is going on, I know I couldn't.

We escaped ANY and ALL snowfalls today!!! We can be very fortunate here: stuff can happen above and below us, but we seem to be tucked in nicely here and avoid a lot of those t'storms and white crappy snowfalls.
Stay safe all of you who have to deal with snow today...we're sunny and...cold...but we'll take it!
Got my new prescription aubergine glasses today, and whoa, boy! I felt like I was in Disneyworld when I put them on! Seems the new 'digital' laser method of doing prism lenses now means that I can look to the sides of my glasses and have the same vision as if I'm looking straight ahead! With the old ones, I had to turn my head to look to the side...it makes such a clear difference! Nothing "falls off the map" at the sides! :) The company they used sure knows how to cut coke-bottle lenses to make them look like they're not...yay!
Off shortly to take the little one to her vet appt. for her spring check-up and shots; I just know I'm going to get a little heck for her weight, but jeepers, with me not walking her and us just spending the winter in the house and giving her chewy things to busy herself with, it's been hard.
We figure things will change in about 2 weeks when it gets warm enough for me to walk her and omg, what a difference a year makes!
Last year when we were at the Washington Cherry Blossom Festival in April, I was totally in a wheelchair!!! Now I can walk almost like a normal person. For a while.

It is step -ds's 38th birthday today. I am close to putting his profile on Match.com. Wish that boy-or rather- MAN would take a second look at some of those Florida Sunshine young women! He's following his beloved hockey team up to Montreal this weekend - maybe he'll strike a spark with a lovely Quebequois mademoiselle!
