Good morning everyone.Attachment 311331
I have no idea what type of little birdie is singing his song in the a.m. BUT it is non stop and early!! It is in a tree very close to the bedroom window, God love him he must think none of us have alarm clocks. I LOVE bird chirps, I LOVE finches especially because they sound like squeak toys, but this bird is so LOUD and repetitive I really wish I had a BB gun! bwahahaha!! No! not really, I just wish he'd fly to another tree maybe?
Good morning, everyone!!
@walkonby , this is the "bike" I have at home...evidently my description wasn't as accurate as I thought it might have been:

It feels far too early, no birds "squeaking" (hahaha!) this morning, DH took the van to golf so I'm guessing it's a little miserable out there. I haven't ventured a look-see, yet.
Have a really nice day, everyone!!!

Good morning every1.
I've got jays and cardinals chirping every morning about 5 a.m. Love them, but do they have to be up before the sun ?
Here's some I was feeding last year.
I hope you have a great day.

Good morning!
Birdsong starts here after 3 a.m. - I'm usually already awake to enjoy it.
This morning, though - something was going on with birds nearby, there was lots of song, chirping, squawking - crazy for about 10 minutes, then regular stuff resumed.
Crows are few and far between - thank goodness, they can be real creeps and then we lose regular birds in the neighbourhood.
Hope you all have a great day - it's only going to be 28 today, so yay...

Oh @Lynn49 I was WAAAY off thinking you meant it was a full bike that was placed up on a stand of some kind. My bad! I LOVED that crazy yellow bird pic you posted too!! Good chuckles! @Natalka , like you so many days I am already been awake when Mr. annoying bird starts his routine, but today was one of those where I was still in la la land and once he woke me up there was no dropping back off.
Hello folks!
It was nice weather today but VERY windy!
At the hospital yesterday they were having a 20% off sale at the giftshop to commemorate Mother's Day. I found a BEAUTIFUL, hand smocked little dress that I bought for our grand-daughter. Pale yellow with lovely rose coloured tiny flowers and the smocking in rose as well. It was originally $25 - a steal to begin with and with 20% off, it was $20.
I never learned how to smock in home ec. at school. The girls in the year ahead of me did in grade 8, and I was waiting to learn it, but they changed teachers and when I got to grade 8, they didn't teach it anymore.
I also saw at a little gift shop in Amherstburg when we visited mil SIL the other day, a lampshade and two baskets made by crocheting and then stiffening in starch (or sugar.) Maybe everything old is new again. I wish my back would get the message - I did a TINY bit of digging in the lawn along where our sidewalk was poured last Sept. to fill it in with grass seed. I only got half of it accomplished as I had to dig out the gravel which was laid under the cement and pick out weeds etc. But my back was crying - STOP IT ALREADY!
I bought some hanging flower pots last week at Food Basics when they were on sale. - Nat - maybe you can get a hanging basket there, if you have one - they were only $8.88.
There is a lady on our street who has organized a "card club" for 6 women for Friday mornings. So, it starts tomorrow and I will be getting to know some of our neighbour and non-neighbour women a little better. Then we are going out for lunch. I am looking forward to a little "girlie" time.
I have got the baptism ceremony set up for the baptism I will do on Sunday. So I got a fair amount done today.
I am going to head off to get ready for bed!
Take care everyone!
We don't have FB, but I'm sure I'll be able to pick up one - or more - somewhere for a decent price.
Wow, avon, you have been busy!
I just LOVE smocked baby dresses, they are so very pretty! When our son was born, I was lucky enough to find those old fashioned smocked nighties - do you know what type I mean? They were a lifesaver, so easy to deal with a little one before putting him into sleepers.
My mom knew how to smock, she did pillows.
(Added - wanted to mention that the hospital aux. shop always has the best handmade baby stuff, like sweaters and caps, etc. I sure loved a set my sister got there for our son.)
Well, I've made a big boo-boo - I crashed on the bed to ease my sore bod, and fell asleep, for a few hours. Now it's midnight, and I'm awake, awake! Oy!
Good morning all.
I was at the Jays game last night, & had SO much fun. It wasn't a nail biter like the last 3, it was a blowout - a 12 - 2 win. :clap2: My throat is still raw.
Have a great day - w/end's in sight.
