Chat-A-Thon Thread

Morning Kids.... Very stressful day yesterday, we got a phone call from my wife's Mom in tears, found out her Dad had a stroke, and is doing much better now.. and when I got home found out a very good buddy of mine had a heart attack... two different hospitals in the city. I didn't make it home in time to get my antibiotics in my arm yesterday.... Haven't slept yet.. and so close to having my first smoke in five months, and I know it's not going to fix anything to have one... But sure like to have one... Hope everyone here has a better day.... @Redneck Charger , I hope your FIL and Friend recover quickly, and bless my soul, don't you DARE even THINK about having that cancer-stick!! That's how I got re-started after over 20 years of quitting! One, and another few months addicted again before I stopped once and for all. Honey, promise me you won't use that as a "crutch"...heaven knows we've got enough of those in our lives! ;) Stay well, stay strong for your Family.

More white crap is falling....again. I am not amused.
But! Stuff to do to prepare for the kids' visit tomorrow...so exciting! I love entertaining!!!

Hello every1. Boy, have things ever been busy, but I guess that's to be expected around Christmas. I finally have the evening off, so I think I'll do my Xmas cards - finally. Should have been done a week ago. :shrug:

Good heavens @Redneck Charger , you sure are having a rough go of it. First you and your leg, and all those surgeries, now your FIL's stroke and your friend's heart attack.

Oh, it's going to be such a fun evening and a real break from my cabin-fever!
Enjoy your relaxing evening, Hicks! I've done my cards and will probably mail them out on Monday; I can't believe how time is flying!! Our DD is planning on hitting Costco on Saturday for her business Christmas cards...hah!! DH tried that last week, turned around, and left! It's absolutely nuts there on a weekend!! :-~

That's one of the reasons I like being retired. I can do all my shopping during the week.
I avoid the stores like the plague on the w/end.

Such a lovely read going through all the posts! Well, except for your sad news RNC about your FIL and good friend. Both dogs have been fed VERY little food by me, just trying to reduce the amount that comes out! Plenty of water is there, they are o.k. but first thing tomorrow they get checked over again and we'll see what is what.

Lynn, enjoy the get together with you DD and family. Hicks, I see you are still on the go, don't get writers cramp doing those Xmas cards.

Shopping and spending....yikes, we have been naughty!
