On the radio, I heard the man interviewed who was in the first grey van - he said no one was hurt, he himself had a sore back and neck. Also because it wasn't rush hour, there weren't many people on the buses.
Had a sliding experience in my late teens, one of my sisters was driving.
We were going down a street in our hometown, and it wasn't a hill, just a slope.
There was glare ice, and you could just feel the car slide - and nothing you could do about it.
It was late evening, and even though we were one block off the downtown, there were no other vehicles on the street.
As we kept sliding - and it was slow - I said to my sister that we were going to hit the light pole - as we slid diagonally, and the pole was at the end of the block. Sure enough, we hit it. I don't remember how much damage was done to her car, we weren't hurt.
Many times since then, though, I've had dreams about that incident - not really fearful or anything, just that sheer feeling of helplessness because nothing could be done...
On to happier things! Hope everyone has a great day today!
