So we're dealing with a case of head lice around here Got the call from the teacher this morning. It's never good news when the school calls!!

oh gosh, sorry sheets. I remember I always dreaded the start of a school year with the girls. It never failed,, every year, before Christmas, a letter was sent home saying once again headlice was rampid in the school. I eventually got smart (since 1 of our girls has hair so very thick) and would wash the dd's heads with Nix, once a month, after I did that, we never had a dd get headlice again. Quite a feat considering we had 5 of them in school

Good morning, all! It's just after 4 here - been up for about an hour.

I've got an odd thing to get used to this morning - we got a new monitor yesterday - 24" LCD.
A bit of a shock going to it from our old 13" tube thingee. Everything is huge on this!

We got it free - it's a 'bonus' from my husband's work. His company gave everyone who wanted to, a chance to upgrade their home computers. They were offering interest free loans on anything over a certain number of hundreds of dollars which they would cover. We didn't need a whole new system, so my husband asked for and got a monitor we chose - which the company paid for, and we got it yesterday. YAY!

Well just applied online to Walmart. Took 30 mins or so including an assessment that had questions like what would you do if you saw a customer shoplifting. Don't ask me my answers lol.

A few times when our son was in primary school, there was lice, but luckily he never got it. Seems to go through almost every school this time of year...

LOL, Holly - I was just getting up when my son and husband were going to sleep.... but they have to be up in the morning for work - husband starts at 8, son starts work at 9.

tropics are a bit cooler, bout 77 today. Back into the mid 80's by Friday. Everyone here is happy that Obama got back in. It's funny, here in the more educated, larger populous areas of Florida, they want Obama, and in the smaller areas the wanted Romney. Me, I was hoping for Obama, so I'm good.

There is a curfuffle going on cause all the mail in votes in a large county here didn't get counted. They said not enough time, so they will be counting them this morning. One would think that with all todays technology, USA would figure out a way to get everyone to be able to vote online.

The lines were so long around here, people stood in lines for hours last night. Even though they were given the chance to do early voting last week and mail in ballots 2 weeks ago!!! People, go figure.

Thanks, I just want to move on from hotel work. I want something new and applied for an overnight stocking position(I think I have about another year or so of nights in me). Pay is about the same as I'm getting now and I have been here for 6 years,lol. When and if I leave here I would also be entitled to the remainder of my vacation pay which currently is about $900.
