You are so right sheets. If you don't ask, you'll never now. Contrary to popular belief, some lawyers do have a heart, and if given all the circumstances, are willing to work with you. Also, make sure when you do your application for the divorce, that you include for your ex to pay for all your legal fees. Hopefully that will be granted to you.
