I had to go to the bank and its near the foodbank. Woman comes out with kid and boxes of stuff using a samsung galaxy 3, kid playing a video game, both in name brand expensive runners and she is smoking
Yeah that's who I donated food for this month
cab. your nails look great, and it must feel good!
FP - about the food bank - I see that once in a while here, more when I was around the Social Services bulding where they deal with the welfare cheques.
I thought of getting a clear polish but nah, lol. ;)
Hi everybody!
How is everyone's Saturday??
Mine, like always ... Work!!
Tomorrow I requested a day off ... I told them I had plans, but I am just spending the day relaxing :zip:
heh Win.. doing ok. busy day. tired. lots planned for tomorrow.
I brought work home after a semi sick day Wednesday (I dealt with calls, emails etc but no paperwork). Easy stuff though, photoshop work and making a brochure
I read many threads and want to post a response but then I hesitate, thinking " who does that help? ".. ok well about that food bank thing Fallen, I could see how that might make a person become jaded to ever donating again.
I have done something for a number of years now and I really love it. It is a cash donation to buy how ever many holiday meals that they are serving at The Yonge Street Mission. They have them at Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving.
You just choose how many meals you want to purchase ( and they are very cheap , like $3.80 each maybe) and multiply by that amount.
I even got to sign my first name on a placemat that they will put on the tables during the dinner. I am hopeful that the donation goes exactly to what I intended.
I used to see that a lot too but back then never had much money to do much of anything I was in my teens, I might have donated 1 or 2 meals since I really didn't have much money.
Good morning, all! :hello:
