OMG Bella, I LOVE those ruffle scarves!!! I've been looking everywhere for one that matches my winter coat (it's a bright red and the only ones I can find are deep red) but no luck
Maybe I should get my own ruffle yarn and look up some you tube vids!

On another note, I fell asleep with a bun in my hair, and woke up sleeping on my back, so my bun was jabbing into my head most of the night. Needless to say i've got a migraine. Bah

Hello all!
Got the tree up, in a bit of a crabby mood, so I let the kids do whatever and decorate it.
They are up taking baths right now, so the cats have come out to explore the tree. This is Eddie (black and white) climbing through. Glad I do not have glass ornaments!
Love like crazy everyday and smile.

Hi everyone. I hope some of you got to Shoppers this weekend to redeem so I can read your brags and live vicariously through you all. Friday morning my husband took my son to see the family Dr. because he had a cold and was wheezy again. She sent him straight over to CHEO and that's where I spent my weekend. My poor baby could barely breathe when we got there and had been crying non stop all night and day. We just got released around 4 pm and I was so tired I couldn't drag myself off to do a redemption.
The good news (or bad news) is that they have finally diagnosed him with asthma even though they don't usually do that until after a child is two years of age. So we now have the means to prevent this from happening again. (We hope!)
I have to say, I've heard so many good things over the years about CHEO and they are all true. We had one amazing night nurse Andrea who Noah just fell in love with. I was glad to get out of there but sorry we didn't get a chance to say goodbye to her.
I'm going to watch Glee on my PVR now and then off to bed so I can drag my sorry bum to work in the morning!
xoxo

Oh ashokia, I'm so glad Noah is home safe and sound!
Sucks that he has Asthma but at least you can monitor him and know what to look for.
Big hugs!

I'm just popping in quickly.
Finally finished cleaning up from the party and I'm exhausted.
Great turn out, 8 kids (2 didn't RSVP - I was only expecting 6) and 3 babies. I lost count of adults. lol
DD had a great time and got loads of goodies.

no redemptions here. still holding on..
we had a busy day here.. i held our own little bazaar here. 14 raffle baskets and a bunch of homemade good i did by myself. we did quite well. lots of wonderful compliments on everything. would i do it again? hmm.. ask me this time next year lol.
but i have to say...the BEST moment was when a neighbor came in with her little guys.. they had a $.25 each to spend. ( all my goodies were that price each) by this time we'd done it for a good 2.5 hours already. so starting to wary.. this little comes up and his moms says you have $.25 what would you like? he was like. i want those and those mommy .. in this wee tiny voice.. my heart broke.. i reached over and said i have a special going on.. if you buy one of these you can get two of those for free.. well this little dudees eyes lit up like a christmas tree and a HUGE SMILE came over his face.. and he says so honestly.. and sweetly.. 'really?" you'd think i'd given him the best toy ever EVER.. my heart melted.. i turned around and my husband was smiling away. he knew how i felt.. haven't seen that smile in about 15 years.. it felt SO good. anyway that was my best moment of the day.Be Strong

Oh, MrsS, you really played Mrs. Claus there - you have such a big, beautiful heart!
ashokia, sorry you had such a trying weekend, but I'm glad your son is diagnosed and hopefully is on the mend!
lola, glad your party went well! You'll need at least a day to recover!
Here, just popping in as a diversion from being a sickie - not just the cold now, but a bunch of other stuff got piled on me, and I'm just

Oh Nat, I wish that darn cold would leave, hate to say it, but I think it's time to head back to the Dr.
We all need a little sunshine every now and then
