I wish Taylor Swift can be my gf  :P
But that can't happen :( :bawling:
But she's so pretty though :P
My standard is too high :P
My oldest just stood behind me and wiped his nose on my sweater.
I think someone is going to bed early tonight.
you or your oldest? lol..
lola, are there close friends/couple/family that are going to the wedding that you could share a suite or a cabin or something with? i know its not ideal but it'd help offset the cost of your stay a bit.
It's my BIL's wedding.
It's the fiancee's family cottage so her family is staying there.
Our side of the family are booking hotel rooms.
Because of the age of our kids, everything is much harder. We did look into renting a cabin ourselves but there's hardly any in the remote area and the ones that do rent are booked already. It's the August long weekend.
I talked to my mom today and she has offered to babysit the kids for 4 days so DH and I can go alone. Now, I just have to try and wrap my head around being away from them. Tough stuff. It's like I'd love a mini vacation, quality time alone with DH and to be an adult and "let loose" a bit but I've never been away from them (other than when I had surgery).
I guess my main concern is the 20 hour drive.
For 4 and 2, it'll be torture. And it wont be any better for me either. lol.
Aw, take the kids - weddings with kids are FAB! Plus the extended family will want to see them!
I know people will be upset we didn't bring them but also they dont have to make the 20 hour drive with them. lol
It's supposed to be a very small wedding so our family that's attending is family we see fairly regularly.
Ah, I'm just so torn. Even if it was near and airport we could fly but it's not. It's super remote. Like 50 minutes north of Kenora (which is nowhere to begin with. lol).
@lola I totally understand ur dilemma. if you can wrap ur head around going alone...go for it. If not, the suite idea Natalka suggested is what I would do.
