i gotta vent this...
this morning at gymnastics the toddlers were lining up on the long trampoline. kids were waiting their turns while the 1 in front did their thing down the trampoline. this 1 mother (who ive been getting bad vibes from for a couple weeks now) let her daughter barge infront of my daughter and the little girl infront of my daughter. the mother looked at me and with a smirk said 'my daughter's a but-er'. uh...you're okay with that? i get that their toddlers, and they have a mind of their own (believe me i couldnt get that MORE) HOWEVER! now is the time to teach them paitence, waiting their turn, sharing, respect...all of those things we want our children to have and understand. this just flabbergasted me. and we wonder why there are so many disrespectful and rude people in the world.
after i picked my jaw up off the ground the other mother that was with me kind of just gave me a 'wow' look. unreal. if i'd had the balls i'd have said something.

so rude! I'm one of those people that would say something, I can't stand people like that....fortunately I'm told I'm very diplomatic about things but somehow get my point across. sorry you have to deal with the likes of hers.....

Suck It Snowblower!

Snowblower = 0, Me =1

So, apparently no one could come until tomorrow or Monday so I decided I wasn't going to let the snowblower beat me.

I started trying just before 7am and I FINALLY got it started and did the whole drive way. It's almost been 4 hours but it's DONE and I did ALL myself.

Hi all. Popping in to say hi. Hope you all survived/are surviving the snow. I tell you, it's days like today I appreciate living in a basement apartment that has snow removal included.

Doing alright in my recovery. Been able to have some soft cheese fingers, in small bites. Calories sure do taste good.

Suck It Snowblower!

So, apparently no one could come until tomorrow or Monday so I decided I wasn't going to let the snowblower beat me.

Morning, I hope everyone weathered the storm (pardon the pun) alright. Did anyone loose power? The news last night was showing Boston, It makes me so happy I'm down here. We're having friends for dinner tonight, they were suppose to come tomorrow, but couldn't so we changed it to today. I was sort of hoping to use today to prep everything for tomorrow and be able to visit with them more, but I guess I'll have to do double time in the kitchen today instead. Leave it to me to choose a menu that entails lots of prep work. Oh well, I love cooking for friends

whew what a day! had to take the 2 angels grocery shopping this morning *GAH!*. my #1 complaint about no frills is that there isnt anyone to bag your groceries anymore. there were only 2 cashiers open (it was 9am) but lots of people doing their big shop for the week. so of course, they cram your stuff down the belt as quick as they can and start pushing the next person in line through. but you never (at least i never do) get time to bag your stuff, especially with 2 kids trying to "help".

cleaned the entire house, put a turkey in the oven, now the kids are watching Peter Pan. i'm surprised they're this into it (they watched it last night too) since its not their typical princess-singing movie.

we built a pretty cool fort yesterday afternoon outside. this morning it was pretty cold so it should have firmed it up a bit. i bought some spray bottles at the dollar store this morning so they could put a couple food coloring drops and some water in them to 'paint' them this afternoon. hopefully they keep the water on the fort and dont decided to spray each other.
