I`m all for Spring Fall and Winter because you can always put more clothes on.
Theres only so much you can do in the summer to keep cool (Legally and without scaring anybody)

good morning!!!
today is DS's kinder grad day. His teacher told the class they had to wear "fancy" clothes.. so he wore his dress pant, dress shirt and wasitcoat.. oh can't forget the tie! that's the most important part, lol.
Anyways, on a whole nother topic.......... a couple of weeks ago, DS (5yrs), asked me what happens to ppl when they die - I told him that when we die, we go up to heaven and live with Jesus. His response was that he didn't want to die, because he wants to stay with us and his sister, and he was quite upset.
Fast forward to last night, we were lying in my bed, talking about his graduation......... once again, he asked me, "what happens when we die?", "does Jesus make us alive again"?
So now, I had to double think, and triple think about what to say. So instead of giving him an answer, I asked him where / why he wanted to know about dying (i was curious to see where he came across this.. i guess).
He said he was just wondering and because "Mommy, you and daddy are old, and when you get old, that means you will die soon and I don't want you and daddy to die because I want to be with you forever".
So I explained to him that daddy and i were still young and we were going to be around for a long time. He wanted to know how long.... so I told him that when he grows up and becomes a daddy, like daddy (cuz he relates his father to being "grown up"), that we will still be there. That put a smile on his face.
So my question to you all is.......... what's the best way to answer a question like his....... what happens when we die? I know there isn't a right/wrong answer - but i'm looking for one that is more suitable for his age/understanding
Angel you did a great job....knowing why he was asking and relieving his fears was wonderful. As a person of faith, you did just what we did with our kids...at that age, a "happily ever after in Heaven", seeing family and friends again if they pass away, etc did the trick. I don't know what people who have no such faith would answer....I'd be curious to know....
oh u guys really put my mind at ease - i was up all night wondering if i gave him a proper answer (hubby was just as clueless as me, lol)
