    Happy NFL SUPERBOWL day! Ohhhhhhh...just the best sports day of the year!! So excited, I've had the NFL channel on all week and now my usual Sunday guys are on! it just does NOT get any better than this!! I'm beside myself with happiness!!!

    Mike Ditka. I don't know what drew me to him when he was coaching the Bears, but something about his work ethic, how his players respected him and played for him...the players on the team those years, McMahon, Walter Payton (C'Mon, Man!!), William "The Refrigerator" Perry!, Harbough, Al Harris....amazing players, and "Da Bears" were almost a cult back then. I "drank the Kool-Aid", and bought and proudly wore the sweater....and besides...Mike Dyczko (his real sur-name) is Ukrainian!! I wish I had payed attention to football in the 60s when he played for the Bears, but alas.....high-school had other diversions...like my future hubby...

    I became a Packers fan (is there a stronger word?) when Brett Favre quarter-backed the team; he was awesome! Then he "retired" and the turn-coat went to another team. I was at the first game at Lambeau when his team visited...Everyone who had a Favre sweatshirt or t-shirt, jacket had taken red markers and put that red circle with the line through it over his name...it was amazing! That was the year my hubby bought us tickets for Lambeau for my 60th birthday...best gift ever and even though we lost, just boooo-ing him onto the field felt good!

    Hooray for the Seahwaks! So glad they won. They deserved it. But they also deserved a better opponent. What the hell happened to Peyton and the Broncos?
    Oh Well, it's officially The Walking Dead countdown week. Cannot wait for Sunday!

    Not being a football person, I must say even I had heard so much about this Peyton guy?? huh?? he looked quite ticked when things fell apart early and never recovered. Was happy because I like Jeff on the show Community, and HIS team was Seattle.
