Mornin' everyone!
Snow's GONE, pulled the kids' billiard room together yesterday with tons of hubby's help and {{{drumroll}}} they went downstairs and LOVED IT!!! Our SIL even emailed us again last night saying he went there and just "took it all in"...and thanked us again and said how much they loved it and appreciated our hard work. I loves redecorating!
Anyhoodles...very quiet day today, sun's shining, not a flake in sight.....HAPPY SUNDAY everyone!!!

The party went very well. Although we did have 3 couples/families cancel the day of... So we had WAY more food and WAY too many left overs. lol. We ended up with 14 instead of the 20 I had thought was coming. Still turned out very well!
The present.... What a circus! lmao. So, I decided to bring him yesterday morning to pick it out in case I didn't get the right thing. Turns out I wasn't looking at the right thing. I thought it was the $50 one, but he wanted the $99 one, of course they didn't have either and he decided he had to have a $159 so with taxes and everything the darn gun cost me over $180!! Luckily with all the CT $ I raised and traded for I was able to spend $65 less OOP. Still way more than I thought though. He is a very happy camper so it's all good.
He had a great birthday but now he's bummed he had to leave again tomorrow.

My amazon.ca account is officially drained.
I think I'm going to go into withdrawl! It's taken me a long time to build it up and between the 2 birthdays, it's now empty. Thank goodness for swagbucks, etc. I love amazon.ca codes!!!
Just ordered DH a new gun case for his birthday present. It has a trigger lock on right now, but I'd prefer it to be in a hard, secured, locked case. It's an air rifle but it could still do a lot of damage in the wrong hands.

Now to go finish DH's laundry before he has to go back to work. Gosh, I hate laundry. lol. It's so nice of him to bring me home a suitcase full of dirty clothes every 2 weeks. lol.

heh everyone..Lola sad to hear of the cancellations.. and too many leftovers. sounds familiar.. unfortunately...
only ended up with half our guests showing up and 1/2 of them left after an hour .. SO much food.. will eat well for a week.
had a blast though, lots of dancing/drinking went til 1030 last night. a little later than i'd hoped. I can say for sure. I 'll never do it again. and of course hubby says i'd like to have known to help.. oh well.. he was happy anyway. lots of beautiful pictures taken at the church before our mass. i can't share though as they are all with hubby, he's a little stickler when it comes to sharing stuff like that. i can maybe share one of our cake. will see.Be Strong

Lola and MrsS - so very glad your parties went well!
Well, my day turned into crap this morning - I had gotten up from the computer to close a window blind, and as I reached across the printer, my back protested very loudly, and I was frozen in pain - had to call my son who was sleeping downstairs to baby-step me over to a chair, and I'm in agony... Seems to happen every few months, just a very small thing can trigger it, yet it takes days and meds to get me through the days following.
So I'm not a happy camper - but I came by here just so I could sit in a different chair for a little while - I'm trying to rotate positions.

Glad the parties went well, girls! I always make WAY too much food for things like that... it's kinda nice to have the leftovers though, saves cooking a few meals! Is there anything you can freeze?
Natalka, that's awful
Take it easy for a few days until you're feeling like yourself again!
Well, we had a productive day... we got a pug puppy!!!! Hayden was so excited- we've been talking about it for awhile but never said anything to him in case it didn't happen. Anyway, she is the cutest darn thing and she has settled in already... I just adore her
