we have had many yard sales over the years and my advice would be: clean your items, group like with like (just like mrs s said), have lots of small change..its amazing how many people will buy something from a yard sale for 50c with a $20 bill. a radio playing in the background is always nice so it doesn't seem like you're listening in, price appropriately, lots of bright signs. good luck! I always love having them.

morning all! lovely sunny day here. I was asked to make a cake for dh's family reunion (50-60 people at least). started the fondant leaf cut outs. it's going to be a very large slab cake covered in white fondant with a big oak tree in the middle, lots of leaves. across the center will be a white /strip with the last name then up in the leaves will have the 'branches' of all the decendants. I hope it works out. I have to make a trip to the bulk barn later today to get some more fondant and a big cardboard platter to put it on. have a few other errands to do while in barrie too. might take dd1 to get some new shoes for back to school. hope everyone has a good Monday.

I'm exhausted from yesterday. lol. The old owner had this rock garden thing beside the front door with a bunch of plants and shrubs, etc. I hated it. Was an overgrown eye sore! They didn't put anything in properly and picked the weirdest plants.

We spent the day ripping everything up and cutting the shrubs down.

We're going to create a porch that goes to the carport next spring! So excited!

DH is on the phone. Prepping for going back to work in a few hours.

He has had 2 weeks off though so it was nice spending quality time. Plus they let him switch his schedule so now he'll be home for Thanksgiving and Halloween!
