Still going strong!

What a job! Turns out the deck had FOUR levels of wood! WTF? Seriously who does that? Did they plan on having 200 people on the deck at any given time?
I'll be glad when its all done! lol

Soil should arrive in about a week. *fingers crossed* it does! That way we can grade it and start the fence. Really hoping for a great fence sale next weekend. Lol
On a separate note, it's beautiful out. Kids and I just spent an hour on the deck (other deck) playing in bubbles.

Hi Nat

Knew you would be on, and as it's the weekend (not much people around).
I thought I'd come and say

Oh, I'm so mad right now - my glasses broke. Yes, they are very, very old and should have been replaced a decade ago (no exaggeration) - not just because of the frames, but my vision has changed through my late 40s til now.
Well, I cried.... and with no husband home to be Mr. Fix-It, I had to give it a whirl to fix them. No way I can get through the afternoon and evening without being able to see - thus, not being able to be on the puter, watch tv, etc.
So I had to give it a try - and using teeny amounts of superglue, after a few tries, they are holding together.
Gah, so now I have to get to an optometrist asap, then get new glasses - not looking forward to the $$$ because, of course, I have a specialized prescription - plus, now, I'm pretty sure I'll have to get progressive lenses.
... and how is YOUR Saturday going?

Natalka ,, not sure how confident you are in the Clearly contacts site... but if you dont' mind putting a little money out for the dr's exam you can get some really nice glasses for cheap. can't hurt to try until you can afford something more expensive..
going to have to do the same thing for my son.. his broke today too.. he took an old pair of mine. spray painted them and some how put his lenses in them.. for a week or so it'll work.
other than that im chillin.. finished cleaning my house.. still working on laundry..and just watched a squirrel steal a piece of pizza out of the garbage bag i had sitting in the backyard read to go out.. he was quite impressed with himself.. freakin pizza was larger than him LOL.Be Strong

Simple as that!

Oh, cute about the squirrel!
The problem with me getting glasses is that my prescription is unusual, so I don't know about going through CC.
Mind you, with me being all old and decrepit now, I'll just have to see what the dr. says.
Story time:
The last time I broke my glasses (and only time ever) was on the morning of my wedding!
When I woke up in the morning, I went upstairs to the kitchen, picked up my glasses from the counter - and boom, they just broke in two at the nosepiece. They were plastic, and were only a few years old.
Then I started crying and panic set in!
This was 1989, small city, then there were no eyeglass stores open of any kind, let alone a one-hour type, or someone to repair.
I dug in old stuff, pulled out my old glasses - but no, let alone they were fugly, I couldn't see through them.
Also, I had had contacts several years before, but had to stop wearing them because of my eyes. Still, I dug them out and tried them - nope, wasn't going to happen.
Well, I was supposed to go over to my mom's house to get ready - and had to drive there, so I taped the glasses up, and drove over - hoping she would have something else I could use. Nope, nothing good - except goop, which at least kind of held them together droopily, but it was orange, and my glasses frames were a pearly pink.
So I had to drive to the hairdresser's like that, then back to my mom's to get ready.
I realized that I'd have to go through the wedding not seeing well - at that time I could see totally fine up close and like across a normal room.
Well, the ceremony was fine and wonderful - not seeing farther wasn't a problem. I could read my vows (they were in Ukrainian so I had to use a book) no problem.
However, it was really hard at the reception; we had a big wedding in a ballroom, and I knew people were looking or calling me, and I just couldn't see them.... all I could do was hope no one thought I was being ignorant and ignoring them.
Oddest of all was getting our wedding pictures back weeks later - when I had new glasses already - and all the pics obviously are of me without glasses, and so many people thought I didn't wear them because of vanity...

Happy Sunday Morning Everyone!
Been up for hours already. *yawn*
The kids are entertaining each other so I decided to search for Halloween Costumes. Yeah, I know a little early but better to be prepared. lol. I just ordered DS the most adorable bear costume. It's cute but not girly/frilly cute. It has claws and is boyish but still cute for a 2 year old. lol.
Looks very similar to this one (I didn't get the exact one because it was fairly expensive - found one almost identical for $30 including tax and S&H):
Now to figure out DD. She'll be a bit tougher. She's changed her mind 4-5 times already. lol

Oh, one of the most beautiful smells in the world - fresh rosemary - I'm holding a sprig of it under my nose!
Husband went to a wedding yesterday, and they (Ruthenians) traditionally give them to guests to pin on their lapels. Most times it's to an embroidered sash, but in this case, it came with a beautiful crocheted flower and ribbon.
I'll be sniffing on it all day!
