Sorry to learn you lost a loved one to cancer. It is a terrible intruder in our lives & it leaves such a path of sadness. I hope you have some good memories to help get you through this. xx

Thank you. Yes it is a terrible disease, and it has taken so many of my loved ones from me .
Yes. I have a lot of good memories of her, she was very instrumental in my life, to her I was her 8th child, (she has 7 kids). And to her I made the best lasagna, she made me promise that I would make it at her wake .

You are so lucky you had an aunt you were so close to!

I just found out that an aunt of mine died, from CA, too - but I don't think I ever met her, unless it was when I was a really small child. She was married to my mom's second oldest brother, whom I did meet once when I was in high school. They lived near TO, just too far away for the rest of the family, who were almost all in SK.

With my mom being the second oldest of nine kids, and me being the fifth of six kids, I really didn't get to know many of my aunts and uncles well at all.
