Chili cooking, husband home safe - waiting for son to get here for supper and a visit. Sigh, this part of life is good!

Hello folks from Old San Juan, Puerto Rico!
Sorry about the cold and snow up there! It was about 6degrees and clear when we got up this morning at 2:30 am! In Toronto.
It was a good thing we left early as security was tight - I had to go through "secondary screening" because I had 3 apple cores in my purse that we had munched as we waited in line for 1/2 an hour until the US customs opened up at 4:30. Then our plane had to be de-iced.
A LONG day and dh was very uncomfortable, but we made it.
It's Thanksgiving here tomorrow and most stores will be closed but we are staying in a beautiful part of Old San Juan In a really quaint hotel. Strolling around taking in the scenery will be fun.
Loocie, I loved your poem! You are exactly right about our Smart Canucks.
I love all the doggie pictures! Those hats are too much!
Hope everyone is doing well. It seems we all need to be put into a bag and "shaken up" as my dad used to say when we were under the weather.
Well my battery is going dead so I better say good night!
Good luck with all the great Black Friday shopping!

Happy you made it there safely, albeit a long, uncomfortable trip, but you're there, and it's warm.
What more can you ask for.
Enjoy every minute, and don't think about us suffering up here in the cold, windy, snowy weather.
We don't begrudge walking in the hot sand on the beach, not at all.

Expecting 20cm of snow in next 24-36 hours yeah I guess we couldn't keep winter away forever.

Hotel all booked and paid for in Vancouver for sep next year lol. Just 3 nights but that's enough time to visit and eat.
booked moda hotel for $79/night Canadian usually around $150.

Happy MACY'S Thanksgiving parade day!! Omg, we should be there THIS year; it was freezing when we were there pre Christmas!
Avon, I agree with Hicks, we're not jealous AT ALL.
Enjoy your well-deserved vacation, my Friend!
It's a balmy +7 this morning, painting class this afternoon, almost all the snow is gone (just a small patch in the back yard which, if this was spring, I would kick to death)
Enjoy the parade, have a lovely day everyone!!

We slept for......wait for it.....17 hours! I guess we were tired. Does anyone speak Spanish? I will have to rely on occasionally watching Dora the Explorer!
