But I think the SDM CEO saw some of the crazies camping outside sharkie's store with their lawn chairs waiting for their chocolate , before the store opened ..and freaked out ..ha ha ha

I was the one who bought 12 with no problem....but I was told at my Shoppers that starting tomorrow they may put a limit but as of yet they were not sure....so for me until I hear otherwise I will go back and get some crackers...the cashier told me it was because some people were coming in and buying 100 or 200 chocolate bars at a time...so I guess I am lucky I got the 12 I wanted..there was still more left but I had no plans to clear them out...the cashier told me the funniest story...she said people were actually sitting out front on lawn chairs before they had opened at the begining of the sale so they would be first in line....wow I know it was a good deal but I would not be camping out to get chocolate...lol

I totally agree with you....it really makes me angry....I have stocked up on things in the past but always act fairly towards others....I only got 12 when I went there...if I had wanted more I would have waited until tomorrow and gone to another store or something....but to just go in and clear them out.....and people wonder why they are changing the promo limit....that is what ruins it for everyone.....now sadly the ones who missed out because of the shelf clearers will only get one bonus redemption if they change it...I feel sorry for the people who never got any...

Seriously SDM should hire a better Marketing and Prmotions Team. The confusion this promo brings is just neverending. Of course, there's the lack of consistency as well. It's like a hit and miss.

Well I'm sad that this happened as I already made my plan to redeem for chocolate bars and Ritz crackers on Saturday. Thanks to all the abusers and hoarders for ruining this promo.

You can call the 1-800 number on back of your card and still get the balance if you can't log in online

I purchased 28 chocolate bars at 10:45 a.m. and got 56020 points. Went to another store and bought a combination of crackers and gum (yes I had the right products), and was awarded no bonus points. Store manager called head office and was told the same thing as above (one time only 8000 points regardless of how many products you buy). Apparently the system had been changed by the time I got from Store A to B (1/2 hour).

Again, I'll be interested to see how others make out with this today, but I DID NOT get BP on my 2nd shop after 11:00 a.m. today. While the sign posted above may say effective Friday, at the store I was at today the system has been changed not to award extra points.

Yup , the abusers and hoarders have ruined it for decent people like you , but I am not surprised they did, as it was only a matter of time . In a Me first world , I would be actually surprised if something like this didn't happen

Was curious about the limitation, so decided to try it during lunch time (12pm EST).
Tons chocolate bars in the store (at least 200 as I saw), bonus sign still on.

Got 16 chocolate bars, 16 gums.
Redeemed 50,000 points, received 64,000 points.

So at least, it's still working here.

My sister went to shoppers when we first heard about this promo, I hadn't been on here in awhile so i didn't know about it until monday and she said there was a lady clearing all the bars out for the points. The lady told her that her granddaughter that lives in Alberta I believe went to a bunch of different stores and cleaned them out. She said she had her car full of bars and she apparently made 1 million points off all the bars she got. I was in shock. Of course my sister and myself got there after this lady so we got a few each but that's it.
