Too bad but SDM screwed themselves with this one. How could they not figure out that people would make money on the chocolates, redemption or not? It was stupid on their part in the first place and they should have put a limit of 8000 points per card to begin with.

Looks like it , as some posters bought some chocolates today and didn't get any points as they had got the points before during other transactions.

A poster got points at 12.00 pm but an hour later she didn't get the points at another store .

So in the hour that she went from one store to anther SDM must have implemented the change.

Buy a small amt. like 4 or redeem for it and see if it still works for you or not

Was just at an SDM here - promo signs out, no limit imposed - but there were only maybe a dozen bars left.
I actually held two of the honey roasted cashew/hazelnut ones (my fave!) in my hand - but put them back. Son had gone and gotten four on the weekend, but there were only burnt almond, orange, and regular hazelnut then.
We don't need more chocolate.

(p.s. need is such a strong word though, lol)

(p.p.s. - uh, I had just gone to the dentist, but that isn't why I didn't get the bars, sheesh! Just thought of that.)

(last edit - ah, I must have subconsciously realized that I didn't have my optimum card, my son still had it, so I would have gotten no points. It was hard enough missing out on the 200 points from what I did buy today....)

Off topic question - doesn't your Iphone have a picture mode that allows you to choose "Text" so you don't get the glare like that? I just learned about this option on my BB and love it for things like this.

Maybe it does... but I wouldn't know, LOL. I have had an iphone for years and have never really used it for much other then email and phone calls. when taking picture, if I need to "zoom in", I just get closer. Ba ha ha. My husband is always showing me fancy iphone features, apps and such and I just shrug and say "ya ya, cool, hunny". Maybe one day I'll learn how to use it

I am the same way with my blackberry... I just noticed the Text mode a few weeks ago and thought it was such a smart idea! We were back and forth on the BB versus Iphone versus Android thing but kept BB cause I knew how to use it lol

What I meant is, how will we tell if we will be able to get that 8000 per customer promotion points after the new rule, i.e. starting September 14th, if we already got some before that date? i.e. can we tell if the new rule take previous purchase into consideration? Keep in mind with the new rule, we won't see points until September 28th.

Guess you cross your fingers and hope for the best? My guess is that since the change starts tomorrow, the system will be reprogrammed. After you use your card for the first 4 Kraft products to earn 8000pts, your number will be registered. By waiting until the 28th to award points, they can make sure that it is only per card.

At least, that's my reasoning.
