When I saw the SUPER deals on the No Frills flyer I decided to take a nice Sunday drive and get some saving at the same time. So I drove to Cornwall yesterday with my sister (I live in Quebec 1.5hrs away).
When I got there I was very nervous because I did not know how it would pan out at the check out.
To my amazement the cashier was super nice and passed all my coupons, no questions asked.. OMG..
so here's what I got:
12 Ziplocs 2$ ( got different types for another sister who lives in the middle of nowhere and has only 2 gorcery stores) -2$
3 X diana sauce 1.50$ (had no coupons but at that price great deal)
6 X shake and bake 2$ -0.50
8 X Knorr side pots 0.99 -1$ WYB2
2 X Classico sauce 2$ (no coupons)
4 X Ketchup 2$ (no coupons)
2 X I can't beleive it's not butter $2.89 (OMG we DONT have that in QC
)
1 X 4 ltr milk $4.47 ( we pay 7.29 for a 4 ltr here)
4 X bags of spice 1$ (no coupons)
12 X Ocean spary 1$ -1$
4 X Five alive 1$ (no coupons)
1 X sour cream 1$ (no coupons)
1 X Cracker barrel cheese 2.99$ (no coupons)
1 X Cadburry cakes $ 3.00 - $0.50
1 X english muffin $0.99 (no coupons)
3 X weinners 1$ (no coupons)
4 X cold cuts 1$ (no coupons)
2 X strawberry 1$ (no coupons)
3 X Listerine for kids $ 3.99 - 3$
2 X venus embrace $ 5.99 - 2.00
My OOP was only 86$ as oppose to 142.50$ I was soooo happy.. If I include the gas I spent and Coffees I still manage to save 44.00$. It,s not a whole lot but I took a nice drive out of the city with my sister who saved 48$ (deducting gas and coffee). So between the two of us we saved 92$ not too bad!
Plus I filled up my gas tank and saved another 12$ our gas is 0.17 cents more expensive.Last edited by quebecqueen; Mon, Mar 21st, 2011 at 09:56 AM.

I did have an Awesome Sunday drive. I love the time I spent away from home and with my sister. We had a great time chatting and not thinking about our daily routine. It was AMAZING..Plus the savings where a bonus

Seems like you had some quality "sister bonding" and a fun shopping trip.

Great job! Maybe we should arrange a QC shopping excursion one day. Anyone in ON knows which supermarket carries the Schneider Gril'em XXL? I can't find it here in QC.

yes I did have a great bonding day with my sister. having 9 of them I don't get to spend much time with each. So when we do get the one on one time with each other it's always very special.
But out of all the items I purchased I think the "I can't beleive it,s not butter" is my FAVORITE... we don't have it in Quebec and I just love that Margarine. I use to buy it when I lived in Burlington and I missed it dearly.. Crazy on how the simplests things can make your hearth go boom boom!..hahahaha!
