I wouldn't make more laws, I'd start to work on eliminating as many as I could. If the law isn't protecting people against violence or fraud from others, its gone.

I would undo all the damage that's been done to our justice system over the past few years. We've been moving backwards, not forwards, for a while now - and evidence-based studies can show the errors of our "new and improved" approaches, and I'd like to see the system become more just and less focused on retribution.

(sorry for going all academic... I'd also work to improve our rail network to help out with shipping in a more environmentally-friendly way.)

oooh a tough question today! I'm not very political so I dont really have a good answer. lol.

I do like the coupon stacking and the extra stat holidays!

I guess I'd have to say more access to free or low cost family related activies - our city sucks for that. Pretty much everything costs a lot of $$$. I remember I almost cried when I had to pay $120 for 5 dance classes for my 3 year old. ACK! The library is the only free classes in the city and they have very limited space so they turn A LOT of people down. Would love to see kids having more opportunities to get involved in activities.

An "open books" policy for all charitable agencies. I trust very few of them and know that they hold back a tremendous amount of funds in their "emergency" coffers. Just try to get a full financial statement from say.....the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation...hah!
AND I want to know how each penny is spent!
We just received 2 note pads and 2 full pages of return address labels, PLUS envelope stickers from the Heart and Stroke Foundation!! Do they think THAT would make me more, or LESS inclined to hand them some cash?!
Can you tell this irritates me to no end?!
