My 5 years old DD this year wants to be a zombie. At least we could use some old clothes for her costume, what can not be said about the make-up

Homemade face paint materials list (affiliate links provided)

Add the desired amount of lotion to small containers, one container for each color of paint you want to make. Then add a few drops of food coloring or washable watercolors to each container. Slowly add corn starch to the containers until you reach the desired consistency. Add more corn starch for a pastier paint and less for a more pliable paint texture.

I like take back Halloween for it's approach to non revealing but fun costumes. Some are very cute and ther's a lot of fun facts attached to them.

    No-sew Halloween costumes:
    Balloons

    Gumball Machine
    What you need:
    — felt
    — apron
    — clear plastic bowl
    — water balloons
    — foam board
    — ribbon

    How to make it:
Draw a dispenser on felt, cut it out and hot glue it to the apron. Fill a clear plastic bowl with small inflated balloons and seal the top of the bowl with a piece of foam board. Attach a ribbon strap (long enough to fit over her head) to the foam board with tape.

    Grapes
    What you need:
    — Bristol board
    — construction paper
    — green balloons
    — face paint pencil

    How to make it:
Cut out a crown from green Bristol board and embellish with paper leaves made out of construction paper. Hand stitch the balloons to the outfit by threading the needle through the knot of each balloon. Use a face paint pencil to complete the look.Recommended:
Use a non-toxic face paint pencil

    Bubble bath
    What you need:
    — white balloons
    — shower cap
    — bath brush
    — rubber ducks

    How to make it:
Attach inflated balloons to your child's clothing (see "Grapes" costume). Accessorize with a shower cap, scrubbing brush and rubber ducks.

    Circus strongman
    What you need:
    — paper tube
    — black balloons
    — construction paper
    — temporary tattoos (optional)

    How to make it:
Wrap a long cardboard paper tube with black duct tape. Inflate two black balloons and attach the number 100 (made out of construction paper) to each one with tape. Tie balloons to the paper tube using elastic thread. Use a face paint pencil for the mustache.

    Carmen Miranda
    What you need:
    — bandana
    — balloons
    — construction paper
    — basket
    — large beaded necklace

    How to make it:
Wrap a yellow bandana around your child's head. Inflate small balloons and add paper leaves made from construction paper to look like fruit. Arrange the fruit in a basket and use double-sided tape to stick them together. Tie an elastic string to the base of the basket and knot the ends to create a chin strap. Add a beaded necklace.
