just read that a man in China wielded a knife at young kids, cutting them ( no deaths reported, just injuries) on the same Friday morning as that young man shot the kids in Connecticut.

Walks...I had just walked into the house after running errands, great time, and glanced at the tv and saw the headlines at the bottom of the screen...I just started crying so hard, and sat on the sofa and could hardly stop. I can't deal with it....I really can't...the thought of those parents...this time of year, even...is there anything in the world that could hurt that badly?!
I thought I'd never say this: but I hope the gunman rots in hell and relives the pain of those parents every day from here until eternity!!!

just heard a story about 2 little boys (4 & 5) who were left behind when their "parents" moved - they are now living with a wonderful family who are raising them as their own and showing them what real parents are

I am so so sad that I have Crohn's disease and all the related problems/issues that go with it. Just not the same person I used to be at all. My spirit seems to have left. On strict diet and many medications/vitamins, plus depression, terrible bone pains, off work for over a year, etc. The only thing that keeps me going is my fiance and my two beautiful Siamese cats, Charlie and Lily.

The only way I can get through stories like this, RC, is to believe that those people weren't right in their heads...that they didn't understand the repercussions of their decision or just felt someone would find them. And to believe that things happen for a reason and how much better off those children are NOW rather than being with those so-called parents. Right? Happy endings, Hon....

I posted on your home-page, Hon, but I just wanted to say that dealing with any chronic illness is a chore (ask me how I know!), but in spite of it all, somehow, we have to retain some optimism, we have to believe things will get better (and they will)...Having been northern Ontario coordinator for the C&C foundation of Canada a few years back, I met so many people with that disease who came though some of the toughest times with that illness, and who are now living wonderful, productive lives. Stay strong and move forward, Hon...it will get better....
