Jezebel's Surprise Advent Package Train

Ok, I am here to vent.... came home from Girl Guide training last night(no one was home), went into the kitchen and water is coming up through the floor. Apparently we have a water leak in the water line from the street to the house and now it is coming in the house. Trying to get hold of someone to come look but no one is home/available etc. PRAYING that this will be covered by insurance, if not we are up SH*( creek. And I have already been told the that the puppy will have to wait for now, there is no way we can afford it. I am so upset but I understand. Please say a few words for us.... Hubby gets himself so worked up and stressed out he is impossible to deal with and live with. And of course when I started crying about not getting the puppy, he was not impressed and freaked out at me and left the house. So I went to bed and cried... I am feeling a bit better this morning but hate feeling like this.

I know there are a lot worse things that can happen in a persons life and things can be replaced but I just needed to vent and get it out.

oh Blu. hope everything is ok. sometimes men get like that. its their way of dealing with the stress. try not to worry too much. maybe once its all done and the dust has settled you can still get a puppy..

aargg I have super glue on my fingers! Im not stuck together but its there and super annoying. We had DS1's b-day party yesterday and of course he has broken a toy and lost a piece to another toy already. I got more super glue on me and the counter then on the toy.

I have banned myself from using super glue. Always end up dripping it on the coach or almost sticking my fingers together.

For Halloween I have the Favourites mini chocolates and probably get something else just in case. Some years we get a ton of kids and other times maybe 40. All depends on the weather I guess.

Spent the last hour repeatedly telling my husband that I CANNOT lift some of thiese items myself to get them up off the basement floor! No power will mean no subpump, and we are a family of 5 (6 really, but only 3 kids at home right now) living in a 3 bedroom home...EVERYTHING we don't use daily is in our basement! Trying to get everything organized so we can leave if we need to, all while trying to convince the kids that even if they do cancel hallowe'en, they can still dress up and have fun/candy wherever we are!
Was very excited to get more shopping done for my buddies this week

Just wanted to say that i'm thinking of you, i'm kinda in the same boat as you but i moved into the spare room a week ago and i know that things will look up for both of us, in the meantime, we have so many wonderful friends on SC that they always seem to make things better just by being there. Hope things are looking a little better for you today, and hugs.

I hope that they are wrong in their prediction of the storm. This is DD second halloween trick or treating but this is the first year that she is knows what is going on (prior to halloween), so it would really suck if halloween gets rained out.
