Slambert, I can empathize with your son. Dh and my boys are getting rather fed up with my tantrums every time I stop to pick up a stray cat or dog and they tell me I can't keep it, lol.

We just finished filling out the SPCA application to adopt a kitten. I think a kitten would be a better fit with the dogs.

I'd love to have cats too but everyone except my younger son has allergies. One of dogs would love to have a kitty sibling while the other would think I brought him home supper . We live in a semi-rural area so we sometimes see people dumping their cats (and less frequently, dogs) . I tried talking dh into parking our ancient camper in the front yard so I can at least shelter the stray cats in the Winter but, he doesn't want .

I'm allergic to cats but I have gotten used to the cats my family had growing up so I'm sure I'll get used to this one too. We are unsure if this will be a before or after Christmas thing, we have to figure out a litter situation where the dogs won't interfere and get into it. We also don't have anything for a cat so we will have to gather all of the necessities. I don't think the SPCA allows pets to be adopted at Christmas time so we will have to figure out the best time. I think the camper is a great idea to give the kitties a warm spot in the winter

I hope it isn't me you are talking about! So sorry if it is. I have missed a ton of questions. My h had a heart attack a couple of weeks ago and I haven't been on as much as I should have been. I also spilled a cup of coffee on my laptop so I can know see the threads but I cannot respond because my keyboard is toast!

Anyone wanna wrap my gifts for an fpc. Wrapping makes me soooo crazy. I like things to be neat and perfect... my wrapping does not reflect that at all.

I too LOVE to wrap! I figure I have wrapped about 300 prezzies already(I do Advent pkgs for my in-laws and My Mom too)

Well buddy, I hope you aren't allergic to cats. I managed to get everything wrapped up today, with some help from my big kitty... who then climbed in the box when things were half packed... sigh... I think I got all the extra fur out (I guess he got a little stuck to some of the tape). At least I got everything all wrapped up! I don't want to pack up the box until Monday though, just in case the last minute present gets here in time

yup. and a bigger house well i AM coming with my hubby. and my gifts no worries i always wash dishes and make awesome desserts.

I will just be traveling with Jezz...and possibly Zoey if I cave and keep her .. I know I could care for her and love her I am just not sure if it is the right choice.....
