NO milk for my coffee and milk man comes tomorrow .

So I added vanilla ice cream .

First my DD wanted her upper ear pierced reluctently said ok. It has since grown over.

Second, she wanted her eyebrow pierced, reluctently said ok. It is small and she still has it.

Third she wanted her tounge pierced. Said no. She waited until she was 18 and had it done. I can't see it unless she sticks her tounge out at me which she does't

Fourth, she wanted a small stud in her nose. She was 18 and had it done. It is actually cute.

As long as she doesn't spring a leak all is ok .

It is all self expression and can be taken out. That said, as Nat mentioned the after effects after pregnancy might be quite different. Tough call

Totally not a parent YET and far far off from being a parent of a teenaged girl (thank friggin' god after the convo we heard a group of 14ish year olds having yesterday about stuff 14 year olds should NOT even know about!). However, I have a sorta 2nd/surrogate family that I've been a part of for the last million years. The 4 kids are now 15 - 22 in age, from high school to med school and I've been there since they were in diapers. I was way more stressed about the girls getting their belly buttons pierced when they were 16ish than their parents were! I'd agree that your DH's an adult (re the tattoo -mind you he could have called to give you a heads up!) and to explain that his tattoo has nothing to do with her getting her piercing. Maybe make a compromise? Say that you'll sign the consent form if she waits til she's 16 or 17 or something? That way, if it's more than a fleeting desire, she'll have it done...or, she'll forget about it altogether and be on to something new by then! If you're dead set against it, maybe google some images of bad scars to show her? Scare tactics worked for me when I was hell bent on getting my tongue pierced...my dad showed me his dental journals of infections and wear on your teeth...NOOOOPE! Not interested anymore, thanks!

Personqlly, having worked in HR for a while now, although I really don't care about most piercings, I always have to think about how interview candidates will present to clients. Regardless how long it's been, eyebrows and the ones below your lip (like Christina Afuilera used to have - and has a scar from) seem to be the most common/worst scars. it seems so horrible to say that people nowadays judge you on things like that, but definitely in the professions, professional appearance matters a great deal (you could be the CEO, the person going to visit clients or even the receptionist greeting visitors and making the first impression). People still judge on appearances, and unfortunately they will hold it against you in some worlds. In that regard, id say the belly buton is the lesser of all evils. DH & I both agree that tattoos and piercings are things that will have to stay where your clothes are always going to cover them. Heck, that's why he didn't get a sleeve tattoo years ago (to my relief lol!). K, end of ramble.

Negative I know I'm only 2 days over which isn't that much, but I'm dying to take some Advil cold & sinus! Lol. Just rockin the hot baths, fluids & netti pot! Not sure if I want it to keep cooking in my belly so I'm healthy again when I go into labour, or if I want it out so that I can take some meds!!!

Lord love a duck! Poor girl! How's she dealing with it? I didn't have a preference for a boy/girl (DH'S has been pulling for a boy since per-conception...apparently we females have too many hormones/emotions?) the girls yesterday at the mall seriously scared me. I'm hoping to turn any daughters we may have into giant science nerds or jocks or something. I'm thinking huge thick coke bottle glasses, horrible old school braces etc (whether any of it's necessary or not!). I know I've read the stats on kids becoming sexually active younger and younger these days, but listening to 14 yr old girls discs as 'friends with benefits' and other 'stuff'....I was shocked. Friends with benefits? At 14? Are you fing kidding me? Please moms, tell me it's not the end of the world!

I hear you... My girls are very well endowed too, which makes it even more difficult for them because they're dancing and ballerina body types girls are not supposed to have any boobs. I could tell you stories that involve duct tape in trying to keep things popping out of the ballet costumes LOL At least you're allowed to take her for bra fitting, consider yourself lucky lol

Pam, what I've learned from 15 years of parenting are two things:

- enjoy every moment as they grow up way too fast
- don't show them that you're scared or unsure, they'll eat you alive lol And things are not always as bad after all

Tell that Baby of yours to hurry up! Or you can try my method: fifteen years ago I was two weeks over due with my first child. I was huge, it was the end of August and the whole world was coming apart as it was the time of Princess Diana's fatal car crash and that Swiss Air plane crash in Peggy's Cove, NS. Every time I turned on a TV, I would get depressed. But that was minor compared to the fact that my husband's niece was due a week after me and had a nerve to have her baby a day BEFORE her Due Date. I was so depressed that couldn't even call her to congratulate. I know it sounds like not a big deal right now but back then I was in major depression.

I was craving rum & raisins ice cream, didn't have any and decided to compomise. A tub of vanilla ice cream + box of raisins + few splashes of Remi cognac - Baby was out of the oven that evening! haha not sure which one helped, I blame the ice cream!

Sadly, so am I. The extra 20lbs I gained bumped me up from my usual 32D. Although, I will say, when you're a 32, DD isn't so bad.. smaller band makes the cup sound deceiving. (Unless your lower half is pencil thin.. it might stand out a bit!) In my case, HOPEFULLY I won't grow much more, but you're poor little girl is just 13!

I was in a D bra in grade 6.... DD by grade 8. I'm wearing a DDD now...(and this is AFTER some weightloss)-- my entire family is "blessed" with this. My older sister wore an F until she had a reduction.

My advice... invest in GOOD Bras! And teach her how to properly care for them. I don't know what your budget allows... but I do spend around(with sales) $80/bra. More for the speciality bras(stapless/crisscross).

When your in a great bra and the boobs stay where they should.. dont "jump around" or "bounce" or create the ugly "4 boobs" you feel much better about yourself and not so "look at my big chest".

LOTS of fantastic bra shops online too that ship to Canada. One of my biggest complaints when I was growing up.. I couldn't have the "pretty bras" that all my other friends had.

Now, I dont give a care... white, black, beige... o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o! (LOL)

Oh, I should add that I have lost weight... gained weight... lost more weight... my boobs do not change in size.

Yes that is the the problem she has a 26 inch waist. They are huge though. She handles it as best as can be expected. The boys (she is grade 8) can be silly about them. She loves her cardigans and sweaters. She is a distance runner and a cheerleader so I had to buy a couple Under Amour bra that I think are made of Titanuim lol. I will have to look into the Duct tape thing. She's a good kid though very grounded she does not talk about "friend with benfiet". Poor kid doesn't know that because we are all on the same Apple ID her text show up on her Dad Ipad. I will have to tell her evetually she does need some privacy, but for now I kinda like knowing in some ways she is still a little girl.
