Yes, unfortunately I get 3 or 4 a year... my last house was 150 yrs old, beside a cornfield and I saw 1 in 15yrs.. My new 25yr old house has 3 or 4 guest's every winter! In the suburbs! I think because there is a crawl space under the kitchen addition, they are finding a way in somewhere that I haven't found yet... have contemplated having someone come and find the nooks and cranny's, but afraid of the cost... Thankfully they have not got into my cupboards (or stockpile!) but they seem to hang around under the dishwasher, or under the pantry.
P.S. this was why we adopted our kitty last October... to date, she has found and played with 3, like a catch and release program! A cat in the house does NOT keep mice away! Found a live trap that works great, whenever we catch one my BF drives him a few blocks away and releases him in a ravine.
Overall... not impressed, but dealing with it..

yes unfortunately. we live in an old house in the country, so mice are pretty frequent visitors. we have 2 cats -really doesn't help much, one is afraid of mice, the other catches them then takes them to whatever room we are in to release them (i assume to show us how smart he is...lol).
i've tried lots of different traps (but hate the kind that kill them -gross!), discovered the humane traps from the $ store work best. we catch them then release them down the road.

I got home yesterday and found a large box on my porch which was delivered by UPS. hmmm, I looked at the return address and it came from New Liskeard, ON and I know only one SCer who's from New Liskeard and it's Couponsrule!!! I was so excited but had to wait until later on that night to open up the box with a help of my son.
All I can say is "WOW!!!!" I felt like a little kid at Christmas and it's not even December. The box contained gifts for me and my kids, below are some pics:

And thank you for sending me something that I could open right now!!!

Oh how am I going to wait until December 1? And how am I going to keep my kids away from sneaking into their presents??
Thank you Sheena so much!Last edited by Coupmama; Thu, Nov 22nd, 2012 at 08:35 AM.

well I knew I had a mouse in the basement (full basement but mainly used for storage and laundry) but darned if I could catch him/her !
Jezz was of no help she would come to the basement when I did laundry.....or she would sit in front of the closed basement door......but she clearly was not catching a mouse for me.....apparently she has "Princess status"
so I bought some traps and put on some cheese...well if that smart city mouse didn't steal the cheese about 5 times without setting off the trap .
....
off to home depot...bought some different traps as well as a live trap.....well I am now down 1 mouse...klepto is hip hip horahhing and I feel horrible
apparently according to Poulins site for live traps you need to take them far before releasing as even 1200-1500ft away they can find their way back to your house
so for those who have had a mouse...do you only have 1 or do they come in pairs ?Last edited by Jezebel; Thu, Nov 22nd, 2012 at 08:52 AM.
