    Poor Richard..

    On October 8, Richard Neill wrote on Bodyform’s Facebook page, “Hi, as a man I must ask why you have lied to us for all these years. As a child I watched your advertisements with interest as to how at this wonderful time of the month that the female gets to enjoy so many things, I felt a little jealous. I mean bike riding, rollercoaster, dancing, parachuting, why couldn’t I get to enjoy this time of joy and ‘blue water’ and wings!!”

    Bodyform replied in a video published on Tuesday (below), in which “CEO Caroline Williams” admitted, “We lied to you, Richard.”

    That was awesome! I can't believe she drank the blue water!
    I've always hated those ads. The most condescending one I've ever seen was the "Have a happy period" campaign from Always. I think it might still say that on the peel-off backing on the pads. But at one point they actually had messages on their site that you could email to your friends to wish them a happy period.

    Yeah, there was a point where I had to explain the 'blue period' to my son, sheesh!

    My husband and son still use the Have a Happy Period to me - yeah, when I'm crying in pain, it's really helpful, gah!

    The white clothes always pissed me off lol. And yes husband wonders why women have mood swings when PMSing. I told him when you're in crippling pain, everything pisses you off.
