Coupondude2012 - as I said before, "stupid" may have not been the best word to use, but at midnight when i wrote it, i wasn't really pondering what best word to use as to not offend people. I more wanted to get the point across that by bragging about finding "loopholes" in the optimum program ON THE INTERNET, SDM is going to find out about it and change it. So in essense, all the "smart" canucks out there who find these awesome deals, are shooting themselves in the foot because they brag about it, then SDM kills the promo, and then nobody benefits (not the "smart" people who figure it out and not the "followers" who read about it online

How many of you would go on the Canada Revenue Agency website, and write "Hey CRA, I am just wondering, I made $10,000 cash doing some work on the side 3 years ago, and never declared it and never got audited, so this year, i'm going to keep doing it and make $100,000 on the side and not declare anything because you won't catch me, ha ha ha, I'm so smart."

Thats no different than going on the SDM Facebook page, or writing on here or the other site, and asking "I'm just wondering, are you going to set limits on the Huggies Wipes Promotion because I really want to pad up my points".

Whether this was an "typo" by SDM, or they later realized the loophole, they fixed it before the sale / offer was even applicable. Therefore, I'm not sure why people are complaining? In fact, if you read the chocolate bar thread, there were numerous people who said "shopper should catch this stuff before hand"...and they finally did

Although I'm happy they caught their "mistake" ahead of time, it's only helpful to those who use the facebook page. I forsee disappointed people at the store tomorrow. If it weren't for SC, I wouldn't have known. I loathe their facebook page and refuse to use it anymore.

I didn't take offense to your wording, but I can see why some folks would've. However I do agree that all the info posted on this PUBLIC forum is a double edged sword.

On the one hand, I get to read up on deals I may have missed. But the flip side means that any hoarder, unscrupulous couponer , manufacturer and any company offering/cancelling promotions also has access to that same information.

Right on, The_Rock. Loose lips sink ships, so they say. This is why some of the great deals don't get shared on here until they are over. People can't cool their jets and stay off the company internets and telephones.
