I voted Barack all the way in the last election!!! ( well in my mind I was pretending I was a U.S citizen) I chanted Yes We Can!! in the car when I drove to work. I still think he CAN...give him 4 more years. So this time of course I am voting for Obama. ( in my mind)

I was a Hillary supporter as well. However have you seen her lately? I think she probably has an even tougher job than POTUS. At least he doesn't have to face all these global leaders and deal with "ambassadors" ( such a sleazy bunch they are).
She has aged and I think she might be wise to retire.

and I tried to find a flattering one

No medicare card here, I have OHIP.
On a more serious note, I think that the problem with Obama's health care plan is that there is an assumption that each state will do as the feds ask. We all saw what happened with Katrina, how each level started fighting over who was allowed to do what, when. & no one was willing to take a smidge of blame, but they fought like daemons over who got any bit of credit.

The problem with Obama's health care plan is it catered too much to the cons to get passed and it's really not going to work well. They need a health care plan like in Europe or here.
So as I said all cons can hand in their health insurance cards at the voting booths next time you vote for Little Stephen
...... I thought not

The problem I have is that there is no one else to vote for BUT Conservative. Or should I vote for the Marxists?
My Liberal MP is Bob Rae. Would you vote for him?
The Liberal MPP was parachuted in after the last MP bailed to run for mayor. Now he's bailing to run for provincial Liberal leadership. Wonder who they'll dump on us next?
Seems like we're scraping the bottom of the barrel for politicians these days & using the sludge as candidates. Sigh.
If we hand in our health cards does that mean we'll be exempted from paying all the taxes that go to pay for everyone else's healthcare?
...... I thought not[/QUOTE
Yes, you'll need it to pay for the privatized health care that conservatives(U.S.) are so fond of. Let's see at about $5000 per person for health insurance that would be..... wait let me just take your house that will do.<----yes I know people that have lost their houses to this
Thing is, Harper IS the PM and has been for quite a while now. And he has a majority to boot. He hasn't tried to dismantle universal healthcare so I'm not sure why you're saying a vote for 'Little Stephen' means I should throw away my health card.

I agree, Dave.

Why is it so many times threads are derailed into a bash Stephen Harper fest? The topic of this thread is the US Presidential election.Last edited by Natalka; Mon, Nov 5th, 2012 at 01:11 PM.
