I can't help going to look at after I unloaded my SDM $200 redemption of stuff, it really upped my stash!

It gives me such a sense of secuity to know I have a pantry of stuff/food. I won't go into all the details, but after my separtion 18 months ago when my ex went off the deep end, it was very bad for a bit without support for a few months, etc, it was very rough. I went through a drastic life change/income amd for the first time had to live on a lot less or nothing for a few months. I vowed I'd never be in the position of nothing in the house again to eat (and at times I was), thank God for my parents and church who helped out, so I only used the foodbank once, but I NEVER want to go back to that again. Having food on hand so I can eat for nothing, if needed, will always have me have a stockpile now. Even thouugh it's not bad now (Child support and working some PT), I still have the need to have a stocked pantry. Long story, learned a lot here on how to do that, so thanks !

I don't have pictures yet, will post them when I get the disk/pictures back from shoppers later this week. It's amazing what I've racked up in a few months. And, certain things I'm pretty brand loyal, yet I still have a stockpile in them (ie Frieda shampoo/olay bw for me, dove shampoo for the kids and dove or aveeno bw for the kids (sensitive skins, all they can use), tide/downy/bounce free, etc.)

I next need to build up my tp stash (only 4 packages of royale left),tide (I just went through my second last bottle from the last time I stocked up on tide).

That's great to hear! Can't wait to see the photos.

I never realized before how important it is to have a stockpile. You never know when something may happen, my DH or I could get sick or one of us could lose our jobs. So it's nice knowing that there is always food in the cupboard and we could live off of that for a few months. I'm sorry to hear about your separation, that must have been a very rough time especially with little to no income during that time. It's wonderful that your church and parents helped you out. Keep up the great work on your stockpile!

I love looking at my stockpile as well!!! Makes me super happy when I think of all the money I have been able to save myself and my boyfriend. The more I buy the more I seem to save.

My church has been adventing a year's supply of food for decades now for just those times when the unexpected happens. Feels good that I can finally start to see my stockpile grow which wouldn't have been very easy unless I had a lot of extra money...and no one ever does do they. I'm not in a town with a lot of the bigger stores but I can still get some good deals and about 90% of my groceries now come down to the shelves....I admit I admire it for a while now too.

Every once in a while I'll start screaming MOM MOM COME QUICK and she'll run down the stairs to see what's going in, and I'll say "look at my stuff with me" and we stand and admire my shelves and items. So you're certainly not the only one who loves staring at stockpiles, your own or otherwise!

I'm so glad you're back on your feet and doing well!

It sure does feel good when you don't have to worry about it. I have been in the same situation and it's not a good feeling. Good for you!

I have quite a few coupons of TFT for $1 off Royale TP, and they are good 'til Oct 2011, if you want to PM me your address, I can send this off to you.
