Don't have a cellphone, but love the above site - and anytime I see them posted. Honestly, I really do chortle at some of them!

I don't own a cell phone, but did have to borrow my sister's phone a few years ago to send a text message. The phone didn't have a full keyboard and I didn't really know what I was doing. I also didn't know how to get out of the 'autocomplete' options. Needless to say, I sent a very, very garbled message that actually resulted in the recipient calling (not texting!) me back to figure out what on earth I was trying to say! (Technology is not my strong point!) :/

My phone is the worst for this. I sent a team member an email through my cellphone a very days ago, and my phone changed every single word in the message lol

My MacBook autocorrects and it drives me crazy! Even if I do manage to catch it, it takes me several attempts to correct it because it overrides my typing!

I have a blackberry. It has a suggested list of words that pops up. Words that are commonly used or something so it tries to predict what word you want. Anyhow, one day my uber-helpful phone inserted "nuns" where it should have read "buns." (And I'm wondering WTH? Like, I have never used the word "nun" in a text message before so why is my phone conspiring against me?)
"Having hot dogs for supper. Can you stop at the store and get me some nuns."
When I realized the error, I sent a frantic correction message, but again the phone inserted "nuns" instead of "buns." I kept trying to fix it, but the phone kept over-riding me and in my frenzy I sent 8 or so misspelled messages asking DH to get me some nuns. and no! dammit! I want nuns! NUNS! N-U-N-S.
Ugh. I just wanted to drive over my own phone."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

I can't even share half the things autocorrect has done to me, it always seems to be R rated. THEN people ask me why those words are in the dictionary. Uhm! I blame Nokia.
