On Sunday morning we were driving to church and spotted a number of baby items someone had put on the curb, including this Little Tikes Climb and Slide Castle! It's in absolutely perfect shape (it looks brand new!), just a bit of dust and dirt to wipe off.
We had been a bit stumped as to what we should get our 13 month old for Christmas, as he's the youngest of 3 and has lots of handed down toys and clothes already. Now, I know exactly what he's getting! :D

This is how my mother raised 4 of us children. We lived in a townhouse community where half the people were really poor (us included) and the other half were people who could afford regular rent. Well regular rent people tended not to stay long and I do think it may or may not of had something to do with all us poorer people living there. Maybe I'm wrong, I was just a child then. But anyways, the regular people would move out a lot more and they would always leave their stuff behind!
You name it we got it. Tv's, couches, aquariums, a hamster in cage with everything it needed, lamps, kitchen ware, desks, etc. The list really goes on. Had it not been for all those wastefull people I assure you we wouldn't of had a living room

FREE! You can't beat that price! You didn't even have to use coupons or redeem any points. I know your little guy will love it! (Good thing Grandma's "sleigh"/van was able to deliver it yesterday.

One time i found a nice shelving unit, went back home to get the truck and i thought if it's meant to be it will be there for me and YES it was there...........

AWESOME! what a fantastic find on the way to church. def. meant to be. owner must have felt that they much rather someone else have it then go to landfill. I bet your son is going to be over the moon happy. esp. when its nasty outside. with this to play on inside.. loads of fun.

We have done this a number of times with good condition items we no longer need. I don't see it as being wasteful though. I look at from the opposite point of view....Rather than sending it to the dump , which would be wasteful, i prefer that someone else put it to good use.
Great find OP. I am sure your liitle one will love it!So many coupons....so little time!

Great find!!!
Sometimes I don't think people put stuff outside for garbage, I think it goes out because they know someone will see it and pick it up. Saves them from loading & driving to a 2nd hand store.

i love it ! my family calls me a garbage picker but i am proud of it.
this summer i drove past a pile of stuff at the end of someone's driveway. my dd said"oh mom, please dont stop" but i cant help myself.i was putting 2 nice teak outdoor chairs in my trunk when the lovely old gentleman who lived at the house saw me and came over. he asked what i was going to do with the chairs and i told him i was taking them home to clean up and use. he told me his wife had passed away and he was moving into a retirement apartment and had been having garage sales for the past 3 weekends and couldn't get rid of some stuff. did i want to look in his garage as i was welcome to have anything i wanted.FREE! omg ! a solid wood banker's desk, 2 antique dressers , a riding lawnmower(perfect condition) and a practically new snowblower. asked him if i could come back the next morning with my dh and his truck. said that was fine but come after 10 a.m cuz he met his buddies for coffee at tim hortons every morning. my dh went back the next day and gave him a $100 timhorton giftcard to say thanks.
P.s $20 worth of teak oil and some elbow grease and the chairs look like new. gonna but a bow on them and give them to my brother for christmas

What a great find
We have also managed to get free stuff on Kijiji A girlfriend who is a single Mom never had a dish washer in her life.My hubby got a free one on kijiji & installed it for her.She is over the moon with it.She has 3 kids so she really needs it as shes also working trying to support her family & this saves her so much time.I love when people give away their stuff on these sites. The guy who gave it away was so happy when he heard where it was going.Nice dishwasher too. They were changing it for a stainless steel one so it was in good condition.
