Got all my points now First 8,000 showed up, then 32,000 showed up 5 hours later. Good that I didn't waste my time calling them and was just waiting patiently

Buying SDM gift cards is a ROI of 10*9,500 = 95,000; spent $1500 for a $210 redemption is 14%. Not bad for gift cards that can be used like cash and for things you need to buy anyways. Not as good as the 16.7% on the $250 mega....but still darn good to me.

If you use the $1,500 GCs on 20x the points days, that's an additional 300,000 optimum points ($632 on bonus redemption days, max level). That brings the total ROI to 56%!!!

true, however I only shop at shoppers on 20x points days / redemption days - so the ROI is always at ~40%. What I liked about this promo was that I was getting points on gas, which I use every month regardless, so in this sense - it is free points. 20x points days aren't really 'free' as many have pointed out in various threads. 20x points (ie optimum points) are always factored in any purchase to decide whether something is worth purchasing (or purchasing elsewhere!) But yes, the GC bonus was definitely FREE points

Not to give you any advice, (nor do you need any), but I found tracking the purchases were pretty easy to track on the optimum website, where all transactions are listed--that's how I know I'm 8,000 points short due to the EXACT circumstances and attempted resolutions you had...happy redeeming!!

Yes indeed, great math and great ROI. And that is why I will always make SDM my number 1 store (plus I am diabetic and my supplies get me points at SDM).

I suggest to everyone to hang onto the receipts until you've used the GCs up. In case there's fraud like has been report previously, you have proof of purchase of that particular card.

finally got everthing resolved here. they added the 16,000 points i was shorted yesterday after i called them.

I bought 4 of the GC promotion (4 transactions of $150) SDM gave me a total of 16000 points. I called yesterday to get the other 16000 added and they said it would be added yesterday. Checked all day and today, did not get my points. I called this morning and was put on hold for over 10 mins. I ended up having to go back to work so I hung up while I was on hold. After work, called again.. was told they could see 3 transactions so they can see there is a problem but they cannot see the 4th transaction. I was asked to scan the receipts and send them to SDM customer service. So I did. I am now waiting to hear back from SDM. I am hoping they get it all figured out by this weekend so I can use them for redemption. Ugh! Frustrated with shoppers right now!
