walmart, hit and miss..
this week when i was there, i did a price match.. cashier was all in a huff.. "well i need to see the date on the flyer" she said.. i said ok hold oon i will point it out for you.. god.. she cant look for herself...ugg.. then she said "well i cant give you $6(coupon) for it , if its only $4.99... i said okkkkkkkkkk.. can you give to me for 4.99 ? then she said yes... but it was such a hassel.. i know about the coupon policy where you get the extra back in cash or towards your basket purchase.. but i didnt bother to tell her about it.. the cashier wasnt rude, she was just annoyed at that she had to do thinking..and work to help me.. not happy
but i did get my free product.. just really not very good customer service ...ugggg

Since you didn't mention...Did you try asking to ring it in as two purchases?
OT: I've never received overage, and I don't care either. If they allow me to simply use the correct coupon on the correct item, I'm happy. When a coupon has overage and they say they won't accept it, I just ask them if they would accept just taking off the value of the product instead of the full coupon amount. I have had a lot more success with that method and fewer of the bad shopping encounters that I read about on SC.Last edited by AmberLab; Thu, Apr 21st, 2011 at 10:36 AM.

That's actually one of my favourite Walmarts, especially now that it's a supercentre. I have never had any problems with coupons there and they've always given me the overage. Sometimes I've had to explain things, like no taxes on FPCs, but they've never turned me down for anything.
I'm glad they apologized and are orienting themselves with the new policy though. I was wondering how that was going in Ottawa.

So I had a bad experience this morning at our Walmart. I went in and bought several things, including 2 of the crest toothpaste that was .88. When I gave the lady my coupons and she looked at my 2 manufactors coupons for .75 each (any crest toothpaste) she said she didn't believe I purchased the correct toothpaste. She actually used the words "I dont' believe you", made me unload my cart to find the toothpaste and then told me I was wrong and wouldnt' take them. If it wasn't for the fact that I had my 2 children under 2 with me I would have raised a stink...however once I got home I called the duty manager and put in a complaint. Needless to say I am the winner today with a $10 gift card for the troubles, plus 4 free crest toothpastes!!! Thanks walmart...

Went to do a power buy at WM in Sudbury today. New Sudbury location.
I had 25 coupons to use and the cashier did 26 transactions....I asked her if she was sure she knew what she was doing and she said it was only one coupon per purchase. Her reasoning...1 coupon equals one purchase equals one seperate transaction... LOL she tied up the line for almost a half hour because she had to read every coupon. I Had 7 of the St Ives and she read everyone of the damn things, even though they were the same flipping coupon..the 26 th transaction was for the rest of my stuff...So I asked to see a manager, and some little moron comes over and tells me, this is the way we do it here..I think I will just shop at the south end WM. Never have any problems there. To add insult to injury, she dropped a coupon behind her cash and it was a coupon worth $7 for outdoor window cleaner. She said there was no coupon on the floor and I was wrong.
So I went and looked and there it was. I told her to look under her big foot. She was stomping on it..(POOR COUPON)
I hate bad service..
